Help my Best Friend FromHighschool is now a Witch!

Hey Guys,
I really need all of your help and prayers over the next coming months and weeks... Today I found out that one of my close friends from Highschool is declaring that she practices Wicca!!!
I haven't seen her in about 10 years but she has contacted me via Face Book and stated that this is something that she wants to discuss.
I recently made a comment on Face Book about seeing a lot of witchcraft and wicca car bumpers stickers in the East coast area and stated that I was becoming aware that the East coast apparently had a "witch problem" akin to the west coast having a "gay" or "cult" problem.

She then proceeded to respond to this post of mine to tell me that,"Witches are nice people and not to let fear and superstition get to me... I responded by telling her that I hate the sin not the sinner and that I was concerned that so many people in the area had been practicing wicca compared to the midwest..." She then sent me a private message stating that she had started studying wicca over the years and had officially left the church.

Let me give you a little back ground... She grew up Catholic in the midwest, went to church regularly and got married at the age of 21 in church... She seemed to have a firm belief in God when we were young, went to a Christian grammar school and a Catholic highschool and college... I'm not quite sure what exactly has gotten her off track? She moved to the East coast soon after she married and apparently she got exposed to people practicing wicca at a herbal medicine class... She stated that she found these people to be "very loving" and was surprised to find out that they were "wiccans". She says that since she started practicing Wicca that she feels that she is a better person and more 'loving'. She said that she first learned that these people were wiccans that she began to judge them which caused her to "question" her Christian beliefs...

Apparently I feel that this move on her part may be a start of some kind of "coming out of the closet" practice for her being that not of the people nor our friends and family would be open to this... On some level I guess I am her "test case". I haven't talked to her in over 10 years and the last time we really hung out was a period before I was saved back in college. Therefore she really has no true knowledge of my standing as a Christian other than i declare to believe in God and apparently have a thing against witches in which I gues she would like to "change with education"

Guys... can any of you tell me if you have had any experience with this type of situation? Can you tell me some scriptures to start to her that would help to open her eyes about Wicca? Anything that anyone can share would be appreciated....

BUT I MUST SAY THIS....

You need to really really pray and ask the Lord is this something HE wants you to confront and HOW He wants you to confront it. When you start dealing with wicca and witchcraft you are walking into the middle of the battlefield. You are coming DIRECTLY against the army of satan. You are literally going after his kingdom of darkness and his agents.

The reason I say this is NOT in invoke fear but to impart WISDOM. These battles are spiritual and they can be long and they can be taxing. You want to know from the Lord is this HIS will for you to take on AND and what your marching orders may be.

It may not be to directly confront. It might be to intercede and pray. It might be to fast. It might be to be an effective witness through your lifestyle.

Thats where I would start.. with PRAYER... I have more to share later..

This doesnt necessarily mean that your friend was EVER a Christian. They may have come in contact with the culture of Christendom but themselves never were a believer. I have known people who have been Catholic all their life.. Go to church every Sunday. Teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible Studt who wouldnt know Jesus if He hit them over the head with a Bible.

And in all honesty the Catholic church is already the largest " christian " cults on the planet followed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka " The Mormons " .

The reason why I say this is because there is MUCH idolatry in the Catholic church which may have just opened the door.

Thats why you need to pray about what GOD wants you to do and HOW he wants you to do it.

Thanks for responding.... I will really take some time to to pray about this... I can honestly say that I don't have a personal desire to deal with this level of spiritual warfare. I can also say that I don't think I am at the level that I need to be to do it. But I would be dishonest if I say that I don't think God isn't leading me in this direction. The truth is that it may be something that I have been avoiding for quite sometime. I had been starting to feel as if God was leading me into delieverance ministry about a year ago. But I stopped attending the classes at church when my school work from my Nursing program really got heavy and I was behind from sickness and surgery.

But now this makes the 3rd person that is in close connection to me that has gotten involved with Wicca. The last person was also a woman that was also very close friend of mine. She "dibbled and dabbled" into it during college and apparently it opened a door that she couldn't get closed. She got to the point where she was seeing ghosts, demons, and hearing voices... I started to take her to church with me and sent her to talk with my Pastor in Chicago. I even took this particular friend to John Erkhart's church for deliverance prayer. She declared that Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior and I'm sure she knew that she really had believed in some wrong stuff.

But in the end she had a "mental breakdown" in 2005. On paper it is stated that she has schizophrenia. But I think she broke down due to the spiritual attack. I hadn't talked to this friend since her break down... But I did start to wonder if God wanted me to do something in particular since I had received her first and last name before I ever met her, over some 20 years ago.... But I never received any other direction.

Now with this other friend on facebook... a person who I grew up with, a person who I had considered to be my best friend in high school and college, I was the maid of honor in her wedding... I have been really shocked! On some level I feel as if I am forced to deal with it on some level in the sense that she has a desire to "talk with me about it". I know I simply want to say to her, "Girl are you crazy! Leave that mess alone". But I know it's not that simple... I know that she is in deep... But I believe that she isn't clear of "What" she is deep into... Especially since the "doctrine" thst she was supposedly pulled over with is about being "loving"and doing what is "the greater good" for all involved. I don't know how to start to show that those "doctrines' are really a clever deception....

I also agree with what you are saying about the Catholic religion... I think it is very possible that she never had a real relationship with God which may be why something like this happened...

Side note: At the same time, there are Catholics that are living for God...and even if you watch some of their services, the presence of God IS there....

There is a move of GOD in the Catholic church.. oftentimes they are called Charasmatic Catholics..

However the organization in general is steeped in mysticism and idol worship.

Kitty keep in mind that most folks involved in Wicca do not see the devil pulling the strings. They dont acknowledge Satan. They believe him to be a creation of the Christian faith, which is one of the devils best tricks..

No matter what in your conversations you have to recognized that you are the one holding the truth and therefore you cannot afford to get caught up in a conversation with her trying to explain every reason its ok.
