How can something be "too modest"?
I've actually been looking for some long skirts.....And I thought the pants were very modest (modest than any pants I've seen). A lot of sites that have the modest clothing is a little more expensive....then again, I only need a few skirts/pants.
I did see some hands (I don't think they all can't show their hands) but I didn't see any faces...... I still like how modest it looks....

Nikkol, the muslim girls I went to high school with, used to dressed like that... Christians should not wear muslim clothes, they should look like Christians not muslims... that is how I feel... too many spirits attached... I am pretty sure you can find nice long skirts at a decent price, that don't make you look like you from the Middle East. Those skirts are easy to make and cost an arm and a leg on that web-site.... by the way, I thought pant was a sin... was it you? who say, No Pant? some years back, on this BB. LOL

Define "Muslim clothes"? The skirts don't cry out "Muslim clothing". 2. What "spirits" are attached to wearing a long skirt? 3. Is wearing Middle Eastern clothes wrong? 4. I think I mentioned specifically that they were a little high....but the concept of the long skirt was moreso my focus. 5. Pants aren't a sin. Never said they were. HOWEVER, if you are part of a ministry and they say not to wear pants and you do, that would fall under disobedience...which is sin. :-)

The women don't design their own clothes, it is designed by men, even their bras... I read article about it. I went to high school with some muslim girls ( he black muslim from the 70's) that was how they dressed... Nothing wrong with long skirts.... these clothing was made for a certain religious ppl, some are designed for worship... If they are designed for religion purpose or if they were delicated. The price is too high, they can be easily made, except for the jean skirt.... I seen a couple of long jean skirt in a catalog that better made, better designed for half the price. No... it not a sin, but someone on this BB used to preached about it and we had all kinds of debates... I wear pant all the time, it is comfortable. Most female ministers now wear pant not, even at the pulpit.

My responses are in red...... 1. Define "Muslim clothes"? The skirts don't cry out "Muslim clothing". They have certain style that are made for them... The women don't design their own clothes, it is designed by men, even their bras... I read article about it. I went to high school with some muslim girls ( he black muslim from the 70's) that was how they dressed... So you are defining Muslim clothing based on the fact that the designer is a man? What's the problem with men designing the clothes....Honestly, if they are designing the clothes and they're that conservative, truly that goes against the grain of this dispensationNothing wrong with long skirts.... these clothing was made for a certain religious ppl, some are designed for worship... How do you define what things are made for "worship"? I mean the skirts/pants aren't "unusual" in their style. Or are you saying if clothing is not made for Christians you don't wear it? ie clothing made for those who practice traditional african religions/buddhists/hindus/scientologist/etcIf they are designed for religion purpose or if they were delicated. Why can't they be designed because the women need clothes to wear. And I am assuming you mean "dedicated"? And if that's the case, do we know what or who most of the clothing we wear is dedicated? Wouldn't this fall under the same scripture that talks about the food that was eaten by those in the early church?
Just looked on the site again and some of their dresses don't look that much different than some of our women's cassocks and others just look like what I'd wear if I lived in certain countries...just like men in scotland wearing kilts....The price is too high, they can be easily made, except for the jean skirt.... I seen a couple of long jean skirt in a catalog that better made, better designed for half the price. I don't know about making skirts or how to tell if something is "better made" or even has a "better design" -- my point was mainly the skirts themselves, not what the price was.No... it not a sin, but someone on this BB used to preached about it and we had all kinds of debates... I wear pant all the time, it is comfortable. Most female ministers now wear pant not, even at the pulpit. Right, it's not the pants but only if you're disobedient to leadership. I'm personally not a fan of women ministering in the pulpit with pants. HOWEVER, I can't say that it is sin. Of course if you go to minister at a church that doesn't believe in women wearing pants to minister and you do it anyways, that would be seen as offensive. I remember even going to one church where my husband had to preach and it was requested that he not take off his suit jacket. And he obliged as to not offend. No reason to fight over something that's not "deep" and possibly miss an opportunity to minister...
I'm actually still contemplating among myself if I am going to stop wearing pants altogether.

I'm not sure, but I think that the Christians in Arab nations wear the same types of clothing. It's as much of a cultural thing as it is a religious thing.
