As I watch and hear the growing hysteria, I am increasingly interested in why so many American Christians are in any way, or even at all, threatened by the supposed "rise" of Islam and Muslims "taking over" in this country.
Because JESUS has already declared that even the very gates of hell, will not prevail against THE BODY OF CHRIST.
So even if the religion of Islam and its adherents actually are exactly the demonic world presence so many Western Christians believe and preach that they are, exactly who and what has THE BODY OF CHRIST to fear from them?

EXCELLENT point, Keita.
And yes, all of this manufactured hysteria is just mind-boggling. Of course, we should always be watchful and prayerful against any and all attacks of the enemy, but since when do we go around creating threats?

So even if the religion of Islam and its adherents actually are exactly the demonic world presence so many Western Christians believe and preach that they are, exactly who and what has THE BODY OF CHRIST to fear from them? I think part of the reason is because with the rise, it becomes more likely to see persecution in the US as is seen overseas. And as the "rights" of Christians seem to be becoming less, as we are seen as "intolerant", the rights of other religions increase. Years ago, I'd never think that since prayer was "taken out of schools" that schools would allow Muslim kids their times to pray. I'd also never think that people would be able to take ID pics where you couldn't see their face...and now in places it's allowed. The gates of hell won't stand against the church. Even those being persecuted overseas believe that. And I wouldn't be surprised to see a GREAT turning away...whether it be for fear of persecution or the lack of knowledge that they had received while in church. However, it could very well be the decline of religious freedom for Christians. Of course it won't be all at once...but they're taking things away slowly .... I am definitely praying and even moreso for the world my kids will have to live in (and grandkids, if the Lord shall tarry)...
