This is a very sad situation that is happening to church rather it be true or false this is eye opening for everyone that name the name of Christ.. That we must check our self daily and make sure we are not doing anything contrary to the word of God...

It's been awhile..I had not heard about this until my sister called me and told me to go online and google his name. I cried and I prayed and cried somemore; because it sadden me to hear what has been said. I learned long ago there are some things that God will not allow you to touch; because he is already working on that situation with all parties included. Sometimes people strike out when they don't get what they want..yet, whose to say what the truth really is. I agree it time to pray..way pass time!!

I saw an interview of one of the boys/men in the law suit.... It's doesn't look good for the Bishop..... Nor do those pictures he took of himself in spandex and sent to the boys on his cell phone... It just looks a little strange.....
The guy seemed to be credible...
Also in the clip at the top of this page.... Is Brian Carn pretty much calling Bishop Eddie Long a homosexual? What do u guys think of that?

I just want to know where the mother's were during all of this... I think I would've been suspicious if my son was getting all these gifts and going on trips all over... I don't care WHO it is....

If they were getting so many gifts, why did one of the young men robbed Bishop's office and took his iphone, ipod, and other items. If Bishop gave him a phone, why steal... We are not sure the pictures were sent my Bishop Long, cause his phone was stolen. If he was sending out pictures, it will be more than two fully & half dressed pictures. He used to preach in the muscle shirt and jeans, stop when ppl complained.
One thing I notice, most victim of a sex abuse, do not want to be seen and do little or no talking to the press , especially for same sex.... They would be so shame and no one would know who they are or what they look like. Their lawyer or spoke person would be doing all the talking for them.
Bishop Long always give out gift sto the young ppl and some older when they accomplished something. I saw a pastor who gave out scholarships and lap top computers to high school grads... This is their way of giving back and encouraging the young ppl to go farther in education. Bishop Long were pushing these young men to be successful businessmen. They are taught about investments, saving, business, the gifts and traveling were to expose them to a life they never had.
I am not saying the young men are lying, it just a little shaky... Someone mention that this could have been planed by the gay community and the young men could have been planted into the church.

It is to my knowledge that the guy that gave the interview is not one of the guys involved in the robbery. Check out the interview on u-tube for Fox. Now again I don't know if he is telling the truth or not but he didn't strike me as a liar either. The pictures that are be shown of Bishop Long in spandex are obviously taken by him. He took 2 of the type of shots that is of a mirror image that shows him with the cell phone camera in his hands.
The pictures look like the type of pictures that people take trying to flirt and show they have a nice body or that they look good with what they are wearing... It would have been wrong for him to send those types of pictures to anyone other than his wife.

I know he wasn't the guy who robbed the Bishop, like I said, it is odd to even let your identity be known. Sex abused ppl, hide their identity adults and children. It is even more embarrassing when it come to a healthy young churched man. To me their testamonies seem shaky... They may be telling the truth, but it don't root out they could be lying. Bishop Long is a body builder, it is not odd to take pictures of yourself when you work so hard on your body. It is like taking pride in your work as a body builder. We know it was from his phone. The question is when was it sent out and from which phone... a phone was stolen, it could have been the same phone or a different one. Question, did he just started sending pictures, after working soooo many years with the youth and why only two? I wonder, if Maurice, who stolen Bishop's iphone, sent out the pictures. |

the first thing out of an innocent man's mouth would be "I'M INNOCENT. I DID NOT DO THE ANY OF THE THINGS I'VE BEEN ACCUSED OF." even now, when the man has said everything but "I DIDN'T DO IT" folks are still trying to protect him, cover him, and defend him. and what's with bringing the mothers into it, his "body building" hobby, the supposed actions of a true victim?  i just don't get it. i'll bet if the accused came forward and admits "yes, i did it, i did everything they're accusing me of and more" some folks around here would STILL find a way to excuse, explain, and justify his actions, blame the victims and their families, and warn us about speaking ill against the "man of God" |

Most of the ppl who scream out Innocent, later found guilty... I think he is following his lawyer advise...
No one is trying to protect him, we just not jumping to conclusion, before being proven guilty or innocent.

I have not made a final judgment on the matter as I don't have or know all of the details, but I do agree with you 100% here. Also, AT you stated that most victims don't want to talk or be seen...yes, there are some that don't. But if you watched the clip you will see that he didn't go to the media, the media pursued him. |

However, as a PARENT, to have all of these things be going on, I do wonder what the mom was doing? The FIRST time someone bought my kids things I'm asking questions...and if my kid was going on all these extravagant trips, I'd have a problem....but of course this is looking at it from being a PARENT. However, this doesn't negate whether something was done wrong or not. And those pics didn't look like anything that he probably doesn't wear out of the house depending on what he's doing.... |

Most victim identity are protected from the public and most media. A reporter wouldn't have known his identity or would have faved out his face. About 90% of the time you won't know who the victims are, until the trail is over and lated when they choose to come forward to talk about it in public. The lawyers usually advise the victims to avoid the media and saying anything about the case.
