Hi everyone..I know it's been a while..alot going on. Anyway, I just wanted to say please be alert and on guard when purchasing gas. Don't use your credit or debit cards at the pump..use cash or go inside to the clerk. I found out on the 23rd that I was a victium of skimming. I am not sure of which gas station it was..yet, when I checked my account I was missing a large sum of money. It happened in CA while I was at work. Please check your bank accounts to make sure there has not been fraudulent activity in your accounts.
Please inform everyone you know of this
Be blessed everyone!!

A clerk told me that if you use ur card at the pump some companies hold $75 of ur money (sounds bogus huh?) until they confirm the purchase then you get it back....dont know how true it was, but just passing it along

^That is true, and that's what I was thinking when I read that. From my experience, that happens with pre-paid and gift cards that are used at the pump. May be the case for some debit or credit cards too.

Krazeeboi..you're correct. They were able to get my information by using a bluetooth device..and a gift card. They cover the pumps a device a that looks like the slot you put your debit card in. And you can't really detect it with the naked eye if you don't know what you're looking for. It takes the imprint of your debit card; the bank was funny when I called she calmly said it was an atm withdrawl from _____________Bank in a city in CA.
