hello Saints,

I'm sure that all of you guys have heard about the latest about the cult like following of Harold Camping of Family Radio who predicted that judgement day and rapture was going to be May 21, 2011. Now he's saying that rapture and the end of the world is coming on Oct 21, 2011...

I have a classmate that had been following his teaching for the past 7 years. She is now stunned and confused and on the verge of being set free yet those in the cult keep trying to pull her back in... Does anybody know what exactly was harold basing his predictions on? Can anybody give me some advice on what to say to her?

Now I want to say a few things.. SAINTS brush up on your understanding of end time events because this is not going to be the last time this stuff happens. Confused people in cults will have questions and the UNSAVED will have questions. These are opportunities to witness the Gospel !!!!

Camping has a very poor understanding of end time events. He has lumped together the rapture.. the second coming.. and final judgement into one... classic error..

He is in error because he teaches different than what JESUS HIMSELF taught...

Jesus said plainly NO ONE but the FATHER knows.. Even JESUS doesnt know.. The Son doesnt NOT know when the BRIDE is coming.. and this is perfectly correct because in the ancient Jewish Tradition THE FATHER arranged the wedding.. It was the FATHER who told the son WHEN he could go receive his bride..

Camping has set dates BEFORE and been wrong before.. so what does he do... ooops move the date.. and when he promclaims there will be cataclysmic earthquakes all over the planet and they dont happen... oooh oooh wait wait it was a SPIRITUAL earthquake thats why we didnt see it.. but just you wait.. the REAL one is coming.. later.. believe me... nevermind that I have been consistently WRONG !!!

What does the BIBLE have to say about this...

Deut 18:22

22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Simple STOP{ LISTENING TO CAMPING.. Dont be afraid.. you are noit going to miss heavin because you miss Camping.. you will miss heaven if you miss JESUS !!!

That is really good thanks! unfornately... i think my friend is one of those that will be among the deceived. Many other Christians came and posted all the the scriptures that you post Giants... But those a part of Harold's cult pulled her back in...

Now they are saying that may 21,2011 was indeed judgement day and that it was a spiritual judgement and now Salvation is "closed"!!! Yup that right... the possibility for salvation is over... You can no longer declare Jesus Christ to be your Lord and savior and be saved... It is amazing how people can believe thses things and have the bible right there...

Unfortunately your friend has been blinded and has believed a lie.

II Peter 1:20 says

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Camping is the only one I am aware of out there calling out dates ( numerous times now )

The Scripture tells us that by TWO or THREE witnesses let a thing be esbalished. Where are the other witnesses that establisj Camping's position.. and then THOSE witnesses must agree with the SURER word of Prophecy which is the BIBLE..

Salvation is closed.. and where is that in the scripture.. even after the Rapture Salvation is not closed. There are those that get saved DURING the tribulation.. Who are the Two Witnesses preaching to if no one can be saved ? Who are the 144,000 from the tribes of Israel ministering to if no one can be saved ??

If Salvation is CLOSED then how is this possible...

Now if the rapture is before the tribulation.. and make no mistake it is.. HOW can people be saved after the rapture..

ONCE again.. Camping teaches something that is NOT biblical and not supported by GOD's word. He is a false teacher and a false prophet because he makes claims and declarations that are not supported but GOD and HIS word...

Kitty what you can do is pray and intercede for you friend that the TRUTH of GOD be revealed and that LIGHT of HIS truth be revealed to deliver her from the darkness of deception.
