...I just can't eat it!!  When you dig into a strawberry Yoplait yogurt, take a moment to contemplate where the beautiful pink color comes from. Strawberries? Think again. It comes from crushed bugs. Specifically, from the female cochineal beetles and their eggs. And it's not just yogurt. Just think of how long you ate it not knowing and nothing happened... these articles (general) are to get folks all up in arms... have you ever lived overseas??

No, I've never lived overseas and I admire people that can and do and also those that can do the outdoors thing, but I just CAN'T do it.  I know that just by living I injest all kinds of stuff and that they're filled with protein and all (my former Marine husband told me all the stories of eating bugs), but seeing it is a whole other thing for me! I actually ate a dead roach when I was a kid and thought it adventurous , but today...no way! ;D Now are you going to me how you caught some spider in the jungle, cooked it up, put some hot sauce on it and ate it? ;D |

Not to be in your business and all. But Was your former Marine husband a Captain..or Officer ? He went through OCS in the Marines and Army and retired an officer from the Army. Did he at one point used to respond to bulletins on your name. I remember 2 or 3 years ago, there used to be a ybrown who always talked about being in the military. This was on the JB board. I never really knew how to respond to ya, didn't know if you were male or female. Then I'd see folks call ya sis, and get real confused. So i figured ok, maybe its another ybrown. |
