PRAISE THE LORD SAINTS, I am so glad in my soul for JESUS today, because without JESUS I would be nothing, couldn't do nothing and would have NOTHING, but I got it all today with my Lord and Savior. Bless His Holy Name. Blessed the Lord O my soul and all that is within me I will Bless his Holy Name. Praise Jesus!!!! I had to get that out, before I get to my post: ;D I am happy about the Lord today and all of his goodness and his mercy shown toward me. Well anyway, on last night a question was posed to me and that was: [glow=red,2,300] Can a WOUNDED soul and spirit work for the Lord? [/glow]
Can a depressed person really work for the Lord?
Should all SAINTS be upbeat, happy and glorious knowing that we have a victorious Risen Savior? What do you all think? ??

Yes, I believe a wounded soul (don't know what a wounded spirit is) can work for the Lord. I have been wounded and weary at times yet still able to serve and do what the Lord has required me to do We will only be delivered from everything when we are in glory. There is always going to be something that we may be going through, yet that shouldn't stop us from moving forward.
Now....
.
Depends. I will be back to answer fully.

well before i would reply, I would like to post this song:
If you've been hurt inside need someone in whom you can confide trust in a man, to no avail need someone who won't fail Situation are out of your control and you need to be consoled come to, come to the God of All Comfort
He is waiting to take your cares upon Him He is waiting To heal all your diseases Come to, come to the God of all comfort
Ok so the question is Can a wounded soul and spirit work for the Lord:
My answer is: I say yes out of my experiences.
however my thought also is how effective can you be?
I will have to post later due to time.

Amen! I strongly beleive you can't be effective holding onto mess...unforgiveness, hatred, and bitterness. You've got to allow God to come in and do a work in you after you have been wounded, bc many times we think we are delivered, but if that wound is opened again, we quickly realize that we aren't as delivered as we thought we were, amen. Many go around hurt and wounded still working for the Lord, but is that work a "sincere" work? Are they working as unto the Lord or are they working for men... to be seen, to hear someone say "he/she is so strong-this and thus happened but yet they holding on", to be put upon a pedestal in front of his/her peers...ummmm Yet, there are those whom are used by God through wounds-for his glory. There are those who are/have been walked on, persecuted, offended for the sake of the gospel....IMO these are those who will be effective. You say how can you tell? Sooner or later the "real" fruit will begin to show up...not that you need to be watching cause God will bring all that is not like him to an open shame Blessings to each of you on today
