Name It claim It, It's YOURS for the asking, yours it's a blessing. Saying goes: Whatever you need from the Lord. Speak it with your mouth, believe it with your heart, wait on it, meditate on it and IT'S YOURS. Just like that it is YOURS!!!!!!! hmmmmm, Name It Claim It!!! does that work? Name It, Claim it,,,, Is that practice scriptural??

I think this may be a touchy subject, but God didn't give me the spirit of fear, so here goes...
No, its not scriptural.
It's a tenet of the Word of Faith movement founded by E. W. Kenyon, who studied the metaphysical New Thought teachings of Phineas Quimby. Mind science (where "name it claim it" originated) fit well with the emerging Pentecostal movement and its emphasis on the supernatural, so he combined them and created the mix of orthodox Christianity and mysticism. Kenneth Hagin studied under E. W. Kenyon and he made the Word of Faith movement what it is today.
I'll go more into it later if the spirit of the thread calls for it, but it's believed words can be used to manipulate the faith-force, and thus actually create what some believe, Scripture promises - health and wealth.
I've been digging deeper into the things of God and found that is in fact, in error.
I'm not saying God won't bless us in health and wealth, just that the "name it, claim it" practice isn't scriptural or the way God works. That's why so many people get disappointed, thinking this whole Bible-thing doesn't work, when their prayers don't get answered.

I agree with name it and claim it in SOME aspects. I can name and claim anything that GOD says I can name and claim.
I have seen people running saying " I call those things that be not as though they were." Well I cant agree with that because scripture says GOD calls those things that be not as though they were and thats speaking from GOD's perspective of being one who exists outside of time and is not limited by time.
We cant name and claim stuff that GOD has not said is for us.
However anything GOD has said either in my prayer time, through His word or prophetically I can receive as mine and believe is mine.
But notice this is based on THE WORD of God. Which is what faith is based on.
We must understand that all moves of God tend to have people that take things to the extreme. Its the Holy Spirit that must bring the balance.
