Is it John Milton's paradise lost? I read it at school.

Yes. The co-writer/director of the movie is a Christian, so I am little confident that he'll do the story some justice -- well, at least more than an unbeliever would.

YB, have fully read Chronicles? At least book one? The author of the book is also a professing Christian which to me is even more deceptive to the novice.

I have a question:
Does all of these fictional writings about Heaven and God somehow disobeys the commandment (there shall have no graven images of me) or the scripture that {God is not mocked}.........

LANL, this is exactly what it is, a mockery. That is the reason why I refered to the many outlets of misinformation that is used to dicredit the Word of God and to de-sensitize the "many levels" (babes, vegetarians or religious and full of age if possible) of Christianity.
I started a thread on "Why" that relates to this thread and it's affiliates.

Also, these "Christian" movie makers, and book writers, need to do a better job of making a stand for the cause of Christ. Why would one as a christian writer even participate in something that remotely mock or even goes against the very teachings of the bible?
Forget entertainment people souls are at stake!

I've heard that many people are boycotting the movie, etc...... however, I personally expect sinners to do what sinners do. One person in discussion asked a question which was: "Why are Christians so upset about this? It's fiction." This has been said to be related to the story that I read a few years ago called the Last Temptation of Christ by Kazanzikis (sp?) which was a good read. We knew it wasn't true but someone chose to use their imagination.
Another way to look at it is not that many years ago, Christians didn't go to the movies because movies for the most part weren't made for Christians... yet now Christians are fighting because the World is still doing what the World has always done. No boycotts for movies with cursing or much profanity or degrading women, men, a race. No boycotts on movies that have explicit sex scenes. No boycotts on movies full of blood and violence. No boycotts on horror movies which on many occassions are allowing demonic activity and it being seen as ok..... as if being scared is something that is pleasing to God......Yet, a fiction movie of someone's imagination causes a boycott? I think that our effort should be devoted elsewhere.

and you know what we as Christian have to be careful because if we are not strong enough to answer the ? that will arise we will fall into the enemy's trap. I been during some studying on this and satan is very busy. Da Vinci is also said to be the picture of Mona Lisa and that a code was put into the picture which supposedly to be that Mary Magdalene took the body of Jesus to france and this is were the both of them are. As far as the Holy Grail Mary Magdalene is suppose to be the grail it self that she is carrying the blood line of Jesus which someone today is living. We have to be ready as Christian for the question because they are coming. atrue atrue, Josh McDowell's book is good as he answers all the questions that Da Vinci Code raises. This is his site: www.josh.org/

It is the planting of bad seeds that corrupts and damages the heart.

The reality is that even if Jesus was married it would not have made a single difference to who He is. Him abstaining from marriage was just God's will for Him and how He was to carry out His mission not a declaration that sex or marriage was unclean people somehow seem to garner that i dont know why. Many people who follow a call of some sort remain unmarried-big deal. Besides He came to the earth bethrothed from before the foundations of the world-matter of fact Him turning up was so He could engage His bride and pay the brideprice for her. I have never heard Him denying that He has a bride we are it so matter of fact He would have been cheating if He had married Mary Magda because He already belongs to another. Any excuse for this foolish world of ours to justify them remaining in their sins. This is what it all comes down to-if we can deny who He is then we dont have to change. However we all know that is not really what people think when they lay their heads on their pillows at night.
