Okay this is something that I have been thinking about.
Church Growth.
Does it play ANY part in God's approval being on a ministry?
Now we can look at the rise of the NT church and see how the church grew rapidly, and of course because this gospel was something new and refreshing to the spirit of man, so therefore man recieved and "souls were added daily into the church"
Now in this day and time, we dont see that on a DAILY basis, 3,000 ppl joining in one day to churches across the nation, but it does show us that church growth plays a part in God being in something.
Another thing...I know a church might not grow by leaps and bounds in a matter of 3yrs , but there needs to be some sign of life.....what is that sign? The power of God moving every church service? Growth in the lives of the believers? The church having enough members to be financially stable and not struggling?
What shows the hand of God upon a ministry? What shows his approval in a certain church? And where does church growth play a part?
Now if a church doesnt grow in 10 yrs and they have no more than 10 members and are struggling financially, no new things, no additions, or enhancements, no movin up does that mean that God probably didnt call that individual to start a church?
What say ye?

I do believe that quantitative growth plays a role in the healthy functioning of a church. Alas, today, many churches are only gaining transfer members and not birthing new souls into the Kingdom. I think something is wrong if your church has been in existence for 25 years and you've had the same amount of members for the past 10 years--unless your church happens to be in a town or city that's not growing/losing population.
