I was watching TBN last night and I saw something that made laugh aloud; while I was talking to someone on the phone. What caught my attention and laugh for more than was this.. There on the platform was a group of singers doing a dance that is very popular in the secular world. At it went to the next step...first one was what I call the " Snap" and the other was one that looks like you driving your car and leaning or reviving up your motorcycle. When I first saw this dance on BET I asked my son that's actually a dance ??!! He smiled and said " yeah". I shook my head and walked away.. In Romans 12 Paul exhorted us not to be conformed to the world; ..so, why is it we see so much of the world in the body of Christ when we should be the ones creating dance moves, songs, and etc that influences the world. Even though I laughed know it that my spirit was a little sadden to watch our young men of God conforming and condoning the ways of the world...when will the men and women of God understand that there can be no mixtures..of the kingdom and the world.

I absolutely cannot STAND that. And you know the saddest part about it? These young kids who aren't churched are turned off by this stuff, because even they understand that there is supposed to be a separation. A shame, a shame, a shame...

Krazee.. you're right !! And those who do attend the "church" services; come not because they sincerely what their lives changed; yet, because they know they walk into the sanctuary and do their "thang" and jam out and then to go the club within the next 3-4 hrs later. There is no reverance for the house of God or most importantly the presence of God. There are plenty people who love God who to "go" to church..yet, there are very few who love Jesus.
The is the one statement I can't stand "It's okay to dance in church - you just changed partners". How have you changed partners if the body movements and language remains the same ? How deceiving !!

EXACTLY. Jesus don't know the Bump n' Grind, the Snap Dance, or Chicken Noodle Soup (that's a new one--str8 out of Harlem, LOL).
