Anyone get the book by TD Jakes yet? I just got the book and its a good read so far. Has anyone heard his Illustration sermon on the book, the darn thing had me on the floor... LOL. Let me know your thoughts If you planning on getting the book or wait until its on sale..

I haven't purchased the book, but I did hear some of the illustration sermon he preached on the book..... It always amazes me how God gives him such insight into the emotions and things that we women have to deal with. He has had this gift for as long as I can remember and I have been listening to him for many years. Sometimes my female friends and I would be watching one of his videos (they didn't have DVD back then  ) and we use to say....Lord, do you have to tell this man ALL of our business.....  |

Well im not female, but my wife shares some of your points..lol. The book isnt just about male/female... its about life and recovering from the past mistakes that seems so hard to get from out of.. It really spoke to me and yeah he does have that gift to just understand people. |

What ya'll talking.. I was at WTAL 2002 sitting there looking as crazy as all get out..because he all in everything I was going through, dealing with, or facing. When they aired the segments I saw myself in many of the clips..looking like I had totally lost it..LOL !! All I know is I being set free by the word he was speaking. That year the focus was on women who had been called to be leaders !!

Beck..no, he wasn't talking about the book then..but, he just written his God's Leading Lady and that conference was not like the rest. He began to talk to us about taking our places as women who had been called to lead in our churches..our homes...our jobs, and etc. I haven't purchased the book yet, but, it does remind of that conference. I am not sure if you have noticed this..but, his teaching has changed drastically...more of the practical is being taught in lines with the spiritual aspects of life.

A co-worker just blessed me with this book! I cannot wait to read it and will make it a part of my devotions in the morning.

No, he wasn't talking about the book then..yet, some of thing that he's teaching about reposition yourself; were things that he spoke to the women who gathered in 2002. We did get a book that year entitled..GOD'S LEADING LADY !!

So far I feel the book is very challenging and gives you much to think about. It is really ministering to where I am right now and has caused me to really take a look to see if I am truly be all that I was meant to be. It is challenging me to move from my comfort zones. It is causing me to ask myself questions that I may not have asked and it is also causing me to take the next step of faith.
