Hi saints of God!! As many of you know already i am called to be a missionary and after so long i am now going to be heading out in the New Year. God finally put the gavel down-time to stop living for my seemingly cute self and time to ship out to remote areas to work with the poor and no i cannot take my shoe collection with me I will be going to base myself in the jungles of Ghana, but from there i plan to visit Sierra Leone, the Ivory Coast, Cameroun, Mozambique and hopefully Sudan. I am very excited about what God is going to be doing-it has been a long journey and only Jesus gets the praise. I just think the most awesome thing to ever do is to give ur life away for the Lord's glory and i deem it such an honour!!! Like the woman who washed His feet with her tears and hair what a small thing it is to lavish my entire life and being on Him! Glory to God! I wanna know any current/wannabe/hopeful missionaries on this board at all? I would love to dialogue if there is.

...It is about time I hear of some reall mission work besides discussing over tea who bought the latest Shellie McDowell hat ...... LOL! So who is Shellie McDowell? Is that her work I see perched upon so many COGIG heads? (ROFL @ a memory of Sistabee once referring to those hats as "spaceships".) I remember some years ago when I knew who G.E. Patterson was, but had absolutely no idea what COGIC was or even meant. So when Patterson came here to Pittsburgh for a big whole shindig, my friend and I beat a path to hear him preach, wearing our jeans and sweatshirts... Talk about culture clash and shock! We still laugh about it.

Alright Sis. Beulah! You got your habits in tow, I hope (the black and white one and the all white one)? If not, get in touch with headquarters in Memphis, they'll give you the hook-up. Seriously, this is awesome. God has to REALLY give you a heart for this type of work, cuz it SHO nuff ain't for everybody. I wish great grace upon you. Make sure you keep us updated! I was actually flirting with the idea of serving in the Peace Corps not too long ago....

God bless you saints of God!!! I receive ur blessings and wishes with great appreciation as i always love receiving the blessings & prayers of all my brothers and sisters in Christ. Yes Keita i shall definitely hike up my toga and run the race with perseverance. Actually i woke up early this morning and i said to the lord that i am so desperately in need of Holy Spirit that it is scary. I literally dare not make a move without Him at this stage-God has got me exactly where He wants finally ;D Oh yes Jasmine and LANL yes i am looking forward to being used to call the bride forth and raising up disciples to the glory of God. Krazee i am sorry to disappoint you in regards to the tunici would love one butthe lord told me He wants me to go and serve people not scare em -He has actually instructed me to give all my stuff away. He said there is no room for me and all i have acquired and think i have accomplished on this narrow road-actually i believe the Amplified calls it a 'constricted path' so i am giving about 95% of my stuff away and go follow Jesus into the darkest places on the planet. Honestly it is such an honour and i am really humbled that God has called me to throw my life away from Him. I also feel really privileged to go and work among the poor who tend to know and grasp God in such awesome ways. Now Krazeeboi what is stopping you from going to serve in the peace corps? If God is calling you to that then i dont care what it may look like-go for it broda!!!

My prayers are with you. Truly it is good to know that there are Missionaries that are about doing missionary work. I know that my gifting isn't in being a missionary but I can appreciate those that are. There's a person on another message board I frequent. I believe her name is Sister Alvear and she's a missionary and she keeps us up to date on different things that she's been doing. I pray that you would have that same opportunity. We could even have a separate area for those who are discussing specific Missionary trips/events etc. (What do you think KANYON).
Be encouraged and know that no matter how much we may disagree (or anyone else on the board), when it comes to ministry, we can all pray for God's perfect will to be done.

Sis. Beulah, I truly admire your commitment to this high calling.
I don't know if it's God calling me to do it (Peace Corps) or not; it's just something that I'd thought about.

Sister Nikkol and Bro Krazeeboi to God be the glory and thank you for your kind words. Indeed it is all about Jesus-whatever our personal ideas and influences and disagreements might be it is still all about Jesus and being conformed to His glorious image.

To those who have pmed me asking how things are going so far God bless you lol. I am on a hoot at the moment-isnt it exciting serving the Lord? Jesus gave me a vision of Himself in John 13 where: Jhn 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
Jhn 13:4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
Jhn 13:5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel wherewith he was girded.
He spoke to me that the garments represented who He was-His authority as a son and all that He was as described in Phillipians 2. Jhn 13:12 ΒΆ So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
Jhn 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am.
Jhn 13:14 If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
Jhn 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Jhn 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Jhn 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
He then proceeded to tell me to strip myself and give away everything i own-LITERALLY and oh yes oh yes i am very happy
