Can we PLEASE use a seperate thread to talk about Tyler Perry and the "church hurt" that he may or may not face. (Otherwise, I will use my "moderator" function to edit this thread and cut and paste into a new one - I am trying NOT to go there though) ASWSOY: GO there...... <<going back to my corner and sitting down>>

General Question, For those of you who have watched the movie, Could you relate to any of the characters? I kinda related to Pat, Sheila and ____________ (forget the other person's name - not Angela though). Not presently but things suffered in my past..... Pat - because she pretended that all was well with her but she never really faced the issue at hand until it was literally put in her face. Sheila - because I once suffered with low self esteem and would put myself down more than anyone else did. I felt that if I did it this way that it wouldn't hurt so bad as it would if someone else said it. WRONG!! Thank God for dileverance The other girl (Terri?) - I would also do whatever I needed to do to protect Monica including things that would case hurt to others (such as the "secret" that she was holding). It is a selfish act but as long as I was protected I was fine. I really just thank and praise God that He has delivered me from such destructive behavior. Diane was TP's wife. Her secret was cruel and very selfish. I could find a piece of me in all these women....including Angela

The movie was AWESOME !! I cried some and laugh more !! And yes, I talked to the screen LOL !! I could relate to them all on some level. When she prayed for her marriage..that woman went through some madness..yet, she loved her husband. As for Angela she represents that woman that some of us used be and may need to be; she had heart. For me what made the movie was exceptional was the cast of characters. Hollywood is now calling it's Janet Jackson's movie...if you have not seen please go out and see it. The movie was pretty high in it's ratings and box office sales.

Yes good job, but not great and honestly, Her acting is mediocre. Her character does not give the "umph" that drove this movie.
All in All, I loved the movie, will spend Twenty more dollars on in, and in a couple of months, I will be the first at Walmart on Tuesday buying it and when I get it back to my house, I will play it and play it, till I can't stand to look at it no more
like the other 4500 dvd's in my house. LOL

Jasmine..I agree..I started to the broadcast letting them know that she just had a role in it. It wasn't one actor or actress who made that film a hit..it was the whole case and the writing of a great story by Tyler Perry.
