The movie is wonderful. I really enjoyed it.
Just wanted to share, Go watch it, take your wife/husband...or go alone. It's really good.
Jill Scott (IMHO) makes this movie...She owned it.

I've seen it twice already. It really is good. Yes, Jill Scott is good but I also think that "Angela" makes it real.

I went last night and it was very good.... A single man that can write, produce and direct a movie about marriage... He is really good.... I will put him on my prayer list, so the devil will have no room, like JB. PPL love till you fall, than they kill you. , This was a positive post about a good movie. It also has nothing to do with Juanita Bynum, nor did anyone mention her or imply anything about her. Please let us not turn this into a "what happens if Tyler Perry falls" thread! |

TylerPerry should have understood that Church folk would have issues with a man dressing up like a woman cursing and making fun of real church issues... Just because he puts a god handle on it doesn't make some of his actions acceptable... you keep on praying for him... I'm sure he will feel the love and protection coming from you sis. A lot of what people call church hurt really isn't church hurt..... Sometimes they get upset and offended because the church tell them they should do something...they buck and scream and say the church didn't support them..pulease.. Tyler Perry has no room to cry about "church hurt" its the church folks that go and support his movies.. Do he complain about the movie industry giving him less than 3000 movie theaters??? Or do he just deal with it and understand it comes with being a black movie maker? he still was the #1 movie when it opened even with less theaters than the avg start...and he has who to thank for that??? the CHURCH!.. Any who.. SO the movie is good huh? I might go see it next weekend after I get my madea wig and dress out of the dry cleaners...I wanna be just like tyler..cuss when I feel like it and think its okay just because I dress up like a old hypocritical woman...LOL.. pray for me yall..  |

Yes Angela (Tasha Smith) made it real as well. I really loved her in this movie.

General Question, For those of you who have watched the movie, Could you relate to any of the characters? I kinda related to Pat, Sheila and ____________ (forget the other person's name - not Angela though). Not presently but things suffered in my past..... Pat - because she pretended that all was well with her but she never really faced the issue at hand until it was literally put in her face. Sheila - because I once suffered with low self esteem and would put myself down more than anyone else did. I felt that if I did it this way that it wouldn't hurt so bad as it would if someone else said it. WRONG!! Thank God for dileverance The other girl (Terri?) - I would also do whatever I needed to do to protect Monica including things that would case hurt to others (such as the "secret" that she was holding). It is a selfish act but as long as I was protected I was fine. I really just thank and praise God that He has delivered me from such destructive behavior. |
