Anyone know how he or his wife is doing now? the last I heard is that she did file for a divorce and is no longer at the church. I hear they also lost over 1000 members and he sat himself down for about 6 months.

I dont keep up with any of this stuff much Beck. What i heard was that he was submitting himself to counselling and that she was actually pastoring the church during this time. My mind just says.. negro what is wrong with you  Pastor Riva is a straight dime !!!!!! |

When is enough enough for men? How can you have a beautiful wife, who is submissive and a powerful support in ministry, awesome with people and you gotta touch the goods that don't belong to you? Its a problem that seems to kill our pulpit men... What is the cause of it in your opinion and what is answer to the problem? |

Cause: LUST Cure: GOD BEATING THE SNOT OUT OF YOU I have heard of cases where "men of God" who cheated on their faithful wives ended up in serious accidents resulting in near death experiences. Some of them have been scared for life. |

I read your comment... are you saying that Will Smith is tipping out on jada? Cuz will has to know that a ton of men will be beating down Jada's door in a second! Beck... what would you say is your opinion of why this type of situation is occurring?
i think one reason is idol worship... I mean we see how people are treating other people in minstry that are women... Can you guys imagine what is going on with the men?!!!
I have a cousin that was in ministry in california... He was married at the time and a decon at his church. he said the women were all over him 24/7. Some would come up to give him a "christian greeting" and whisper in his ear that they were ready and willing. Then turn and say "Hello" to his wife... Not if that is what is going in at a lower level I can hardly imagine what else goes on.
My cousin did subcome to lust and it ended his marriage... he also left the church...
I also know of plenty of men that are high up and very famous in ministry that literally have concubines in the church. They all know of each other and everyone plays like they don't know what is going on. It is really sad... I have seen so much mess that personally i wouldn't want to have a husband that is a pastor. It's too much crap!

I really dont know why men cant control themselves when they already have the perfect thing. I guess sometimes we give in to the power of temptation... understanding that Satan never tempts us with things that we do not like or desire. If I dont like smoking... you coming to me and offering me a smoke wouldnt be a temptation... it would be a wasted effort on your part... but if I struggled with drinking, and you offered me a Corona and a passion fruit martinni...it would be a different story. Paul put it like this I believe in romans 7.."the good that I would do, I do not, but that which I would not..that I do".. our nature is automatically sinful, this is why we have to continue to pray and put those feelings in its proper place. the old song say for us to yeild not to temptation, for its the yeilding thats the sin. Sin brings about bondage and bondage puts us as slaves to our sinful desires. Thank God that whom the Son has set free....is free indeed! It takes strength to push past what our nature craves...but we have to be strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might. |

The answer HE gave me is that we are getting so caught up with being the " MAND ( not a typo ) of God " that we are forgetting that we are men.... human.. with shortcomings and weaknesses and frailties that without JESUS guarding the gate would overun, overtake and threaten to consume us. We must always remember as HIS word says.. " WITHOUT HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING " |

I have to agree with you all. Pride also plays a part in it..some know that they can someone to sleep with them because they are Pastors and sister girl daydreams about becoming "Pastor's" wife because she thinks she is sho bff 'nointed to do a better than his current wife.

Secondly: A host of preachers operate in pride, and succomb to lust. Men of God have been cheating since the days of adam..sad but true.
and just as rachel has stated..God aint playing..A pastor in oceanside, cheated on his faithful wife..of 40+years with the district missionary. He died a couple of weaks later, by heart attack.

This whole thing just bothers me very much. Most of you (I doubt any of you) have had to sit in your office and listen to the children of spouses of pastors involved in this type of behavior. You have no idea what this does to a family let alone a church. And by the way, Zach didn’t voluntarily step down. This has been brewing since July. I just didn’t mention it nor would i have mentioned it until it surfaced. He was forced to sit down because of video taped evidence that was about to be released had he not. He had no intention of stopping the money maching. So don’t sing his praises. And he surely is not a prophetic voice.
I don’t understand the thinking that suggests that clergy should be quiet when they know a wolf has invaded the flock. But there is one thing for sure. As a poster previously suggested… it’s not over yet. There is more to come. This in no way means I’m not praying. But please don’t laud a pastor as a prophetic voice when in fact they are adulterers and abusive to their mate.
Continue to pray...cause what we DONT need is another JB/TW episode
