I have lost all respect for him. If you go to the press room on that website, he has taken different interviews and messages that she has done and posted them on there and some of them don't have anything to do with what happen or their marriage. And he posted some of his interview he did with Wendy Williams. (He only posted that little part because they said they agreed with him.) (He didn't post the other part of the interview which all they talked about was sex.) Anybody who is offering to do an interview with him, he doesn't care who it is, he's doing it. Heaven, you used to go to their church and conferences, right? Did U see any signs that this man was capable of doing this? I have been praying for him... but it is really hard to pray, that he will not have to face a jail sentence, when he continue with this foolish. I am glad Juanita stop with the media. ... lick her wounds, and now going on with her life . I understand why she didn't show up at the mediation. There are No Mending .... so he is angry... instead of seeking God in prayer and believing God for a miracle in his marriage and trail, He decided to destroy her character.... That is scary ... It make me think about how some men will murder their whole family and commit suicide, all because a woman want out of a relationship Bynum may sue for the book.... It getting messier....

It just dawned on me that Satan is getting the church to do what he wants and that's feed into the negativity. I think when we set our focus on "higher things" instead of feeding the negativity, then that deprived negativity will weaken in strength. However, that's a position that takes strength and submission to God to accomplish as many people are drawn to gossip, scandals, and pure mess. AT, I too am glad that JB hasn't responded or retaliated in the media. She hasn't in over three months amid requests for her to. While Bishop Weeks is out to hurt one, he's really hurting himself more. That's the sad part. I pray that Christian bookstores will not shelf this book and I also pray that this will not be put in the Christian sections of bookstores.

I wonder how the members of Global Destiny feel... They have been praying for reconciliation, but he made it really hard. Weeks don't know they might have the parking lot taping... and they might hit him hard... If I was in his situation, I will be before God praying for mercy and favor during the trail... I wouldn't be trying to hurt anyone, I would n't want anything to block my prayer.

Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Hbr 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Hbr 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
Hbr 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
Hbr 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Hbr 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Hbr 8:7 ΒΆ For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
Hbr 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Hbr 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Hbr 8:10 For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Hbr 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Hbr 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Hbr 8:13 In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old [is] ready to vanish away.
We do not need to be reminded of anything under the new covenant through the use of symbols. Symbols, threats and reminders do not have the power to cause people to live holy if that was the case then Israel would never have been backsliding. Under the new covenant it is solely the fact that God Himself gives us a new heart and writes His laws on our heart through a personal relationship with Himself so we sin not because we are told not to or because there is an ark or a rod but because we have tasted and encountered Christ. Bynum's theology has been wonky for a while and that is the truth there is a good reason why the same folks that used to buy millions and millions of her tapes etc do not have time for her now. Does that negate the fact that she is called-of course not i believe she is called and raised up by God but that she needs to re examine certain things, God wants us to finish well not just start well. Using symbolic things to teach is not wrong but she has well and truly taken it beyond symbolism into heresy. Thirdly her decision to act is not a sin in itself i was in a musical last year and another one at easter. God gives us gifts aside from our ministry which we can enjoy and bless others with as long as it is good and clean so i dont see anyone having a problem with that. The problem is that people are sceptical of her ministry now which is damaging to a prophet since u are supposed to be: thus saith the lord. That is what is overshadowing everything-that threshing floor appeal was not a wise move at all she would have been better off just saying i need 200,000 for ministerial projects help me but all this business with the fact that it is where the ark of the covenant is .....i mean and also her going to pray at GD is not a sin a church is a church but when they categorically point out that she went there because that is where the other ark of the covenant is because she was far from the first what is one supposed to say. Of course we love Bynum. I want to see her do well i believe that she has the potential in God to bring multitudes into the kingdom firstly secondly that the lord is using her to break the mould of black women in ministry and she can go higher-her possibilities are endless if she will just stop some of these off hand prophecies , stop teaching heresy as she has done in her last 2 books and all these wild claims that have no basis in scripture and all these rolling on the floor taped videos. Just because the prophetic call is an unusual one does not mean u have to go out of ur way to make it plein bizarre and over the top dramatic. She does have a gift for the dramatic and at least she will be putting it to use in this film -hopefully we will be spared furrther antics from her. While she is teaching about integrity she shd also turn up at her appointments and put this issue with her husband to rest once and for all. She stands to lose more than he does and he is not going to go away so she better clean that one up b4 making any new moves.

AT..check you pm
I really believe Buelah has hit on the head. It's been said before and I am sure it will be said again. Because of the prophetic calling on her life and his too...they cannot do whatever they want to do and call it God. They can't say whatever they want to say and act like it was nothing. We talk about accountability to one another..but, what about accountability to God and what his Word has spoken ? They both have exhibited some very ugly behaviors. Long before she hit the platform at TBN she trusted God for everything and I do mean everything. Then she changed.. Did anybody here attend WTAL 1999 when she shared on how the Lord dealt with her about how her demeanor and attitude changed when she put on a pair jeans...and started she switching and caring and the Lord dealt with her on the spot ? That's not heresay..that was something she spoke out publicly. Then I remembered something she said many years when she came with her "Morning Glory" cd..which was that the presence of the Lord is with you at all times. Yes, many people do have places where they go to meet with Lord daily..it has nothing to with levels or understanding. I believe when we lose this "level", " next place in God" mentality we will alot better off..as competition is of the devil ..yet, it's only effect if we open the door and allow him in to do whatever he pleases.

Amen Stillfocused. The prophetic call is one requiring a life of total consecration to God. If you are called as a prophet your words and ur ability to hear from God is what makes ur ministry aside from that u have no ministry and especially when it is on a national platform. If that trust in ur ability is taken away then u have no ministry. That and character. I am sick and tired of so many of us in ministry starting well and ending in all sorts of scandals. Of course we are going to be persecuted but it shd be for the sake of Christ and not our personal spending habits/moral lifestyles. I am still trying to recover from the $500 prayer kit mandate by God which Bynum was selling because she had been ordered to take a million prayer shawls to africa and when the pastors in africa laid their hand on these shawls and she came back with them that the same anointing operating in africa was gonna come to the USA . I mean how can anyone truly say that she has not been off with those kinds of behaviour and dat folks are just 'putting their mouths on her'? Yes Bynum was trusting the lord literally for everything she preached a sound gospel and lived it but in the last few years it has been hard to make out what she is on about. What i have seen is the public chastening of a prophet by the Lord for her own good. She always said that she told God to do whatever He needs to do if she ever went 'off'. Am i glorying in the breakdown of her marriage etc-of course not divorce, a beat up etc is the last thing i would wish on anybody not to talk of someone whose ministry blessed my life and who happens to be a fellow sister in the Lord however what has happened has happened and i am sure it has caused her to do some soul searching and re evaluate her lifestyle and stop making out that her aqcuired wealth and business accomplishments are proof that God is still with her. Statements like : how many people can say they live on a 30 acre is not wisdom. Personal wealth and accomplishments are wonderful in their place but do not equate that you are necessarily walking the narrow path There is a clarion call from the lord coming through the mout of His apostles about finishing well since last year. We are to run the race with perseverance and cast off every weight with our eyes fixed on Jesus and Him alone. As God is pulling the covers off this mammon gospel that has been blinding many of the church this last century God led me to a verse last week about myself and about the true gospel. I have no problems with people having special spots with God. I believe in that but it is part of our personal relationship with Him not a doctrine. When we start making relics more than they are we are trampling on the real sacrifice which is Christ Jesus. If we start making things that are personal in our relationship with Him the standard for all then we are adding to the gospel. Jb has been teaching a very complicated gospel which makes God out to be this ladder which only the special behind the veil few have access to and if it wasnt for the many non -bible reading/ lack of a personal knowledge of the Christ multitudes she wouldnt have got so far in her heresy. I even have a tape by her where she is talking about how Jesus had to put some big boots on in order to walk through hell cause u just cannot tip toe around in hell Feel free to laugh cause that is exactly what i did. ;D THIS IS THE PLUMBLINE for our ministries: 1Cr 9:18 What is my reward then? [Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ WITHOUT CHARGE , that I abuse not my power in the gospel. Let us get our eyes off on the material blessings that is coming to people and check their lifestyle against God's word. That to me is true love cause at the end of the day we aint carrying none of that stuff with us and what a tragedy it would be to gain the whole world and yet to stand before Him and be told Depart from me. We owe it to ourselves, to our brothers and sisters in the lord and to our leaders. Selah

I have asked that this one be locked, too. Give it time it and it no longer remain open. I am at a point where it doesn't matter who is lying and is not. What matters the most is their souls..even though they both are still addressed by their their titles "Bishop" and " Prophetess" we all know that means nothing. There is no entitlement in the kingdom of God. The comment didn't get overlooked..it's just that no one chose to respond to it because it's only a tool being used to stir up strife and division and this my opinion it's just not worth it...it's about the Kingdom and that's where our focus should be..

Of course I don't believe that the post should be locked as we are all adults and should be able to intelligently discuss a topic without name calling and questioning one's walk with God!
Now with that being said:
I am truly shocked to see TW re- release his book....
This act and his pleading not guilty and Bynum not showing up for her court date is really making me question is there more truth to what TW is saying as to what JB has alleged......
Because what woman who is in the spotlight and has declared that Domestic Violence now has a name wouldn't show up for court to end her relationship with this man and make sure he is punished to the fullest unless there are some holes in your story... (of course I don't know and have not talked with either JB or TW) but this all seems so strange to me especially after all the publicity and drama surrounding this story......
As saints we are to pray and live under God's laws but we are also governed by the laws of the land and that's not displaying integrity or responsibility on JB's part not showing up for court like that..... As a woman of God what kind of example is she showing the world.....

She's the one that put it against him so it was up to him not to break it. And I don't believe she was trying to contact him as much as he has said she has, or he could have taken that back to court and let them know that she has been doing that.
Bishop Weeks to face abuse charges in court
By D. AILEEN DODD The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 03/10/08 They were the consummate Pentecostal power couple who preached about the sanctity of marriage, held hands in public, even proclaimed their love in a book. Behind closed doors, their relationship was no fairy tale.
face criminal charges at Fulton County Superior Court for allegedly choking, beating and kicking his estranged wife, nationally known evangelist Juanita Bynum, after they argued in the Renaissance Concourse Hotel parking lot on Aug. 21.
Weeks claims he did not abuse Bynum. He maintains he has been a victim of domestic violence in their stormy five-year marriage.
It will be up to a jury to decide which minister's message is more moving.
Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said the facts will speak for themselves: Bynum suffered bruises in the attack. A bellman pulled Weeks off Bynum to stop the beating. The bellman heard Weeks threaten to kill Bynum.
"We plan to present evidence of what happened by way of eyewitnesses," Howard said.
Weeks was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple battery in connection with the incident.
The prosecution will try to argue that Weeks has a history of lashing out violently when he loses his temper, including attacking members of his staff at Global Destiny Church in Duluth over workplace issues, according to court and police records.
Ed Garland, Weeks' defense attorney, said the effort to portray Weeks as an abuser at work or home will fall flat because, "it is not true." A judge could decide against allowing prosecutors to tell a jury about prior accusations of violence.
"That is part of their effort to create a case where there is not a case," Garland said. "The truth is that he did not assault his wife, that she was totally emotionally and physically out of control and assaulted him first. His only actions were in self- defense. He is absolutely innocent."
Neither Bynum nor Weeks would comment directly on the case last week.
Weeks has said he believes the parking lot incident was an over-the-top attempt by Bynum to advance her career. Bynum did not go to the hospital immediately after the alleged attack. Photos of her bruises were posted on a gossip Web site before police completed their investigation. Bynum, who named herself "the new face of domestic violence" shortly after the attack, has a ministry that encourages women to leave dead-end relationships.
[glow=red,2,300]Former members of Global Destiny said they were not surprised by the couple's split over allegations of domestic violence. [/glow]In a sermon for the couple's "Teach Me How To Love You," series, Bynum joked about having threatened her husband with a brick.
[glow=red,2,300]Robert Graves, who worked as an organist at Global Destiny and travels with Bynum, said he heard more of the couple's disagreements than he wanted because his office was next to Bynum's. "You heard a lot of profanity and screaming,'' Graves said. "There were a few times when we saw the effects of what we heard."[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]Bynum cried. Weeks seemed "intense," Graves said. "We always knew when he was upset, because we would feel it at the next staff meeting."[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]In December 2006, Weeks was accused of workplace violence. He allegedly grabbed a female employee by the neck and threw her to the floor because he was angry about how she handled church affairs.[/glow] Bynum and others persuaded the employee not to report the incident, court records show.
[glow=red,2,300]Graves said he, too, had a run-in with Weeks. When word of Weeks and Bynum's break-up spread to the church, Graves said, Weeks blamed him. "He said I was the one spreading rumors," Graves said. "We had a meeting. He was sitting at his desk, and he reached across his desk and grabbed me."[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]Other employees say Weeks has never shown them that he has a hot temper. "That has not been my experience," said Pastor Joyce Gilmer. "That is why I want the truth to be revealed."
Weeks' spokesperson, Nakia Hicks of Double XX Posure Media Relations, also defended him: "In the 10 years of Bishop Weeks' pastoring, he has never physically laid hands on any member or staff as a means to hurt them or cause bodily harm."[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]In the months leading up to the Aug. 21 incident, Graves said Weeks got upset because he wanted his wife to come to services more often. Bynum's ministry was at a high point. Because of her demanding schedule of TV appearances and speaking engagements, Bynum was being pulled away from Global Destiny. Collections were down, Graves said.[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]"The church was pretty much built around her popularity. [glow=red,2,300]When she left, that kind of hurt the ministry[/glow]."[/glow] Bynum left the church in June when the couple separated. She had a lawyer fax Weeks a letter demanding he stop using her photos or voice recordings at Global Destiny.
[glow=red,2,300]Bynum told police she and Weeks spent more than a month apart. Weeks, however, said the couple had talked and rekindled their flame.[/glow] On Aug. 21, Bynum met Weeks at a Renaissance Concourse Hotel restaurant. The couple began to argue. Weeks got up to leave and Bynum followed him into the parking lot, where he grabbed her by the neck, choked her and threw her to the ground, she told police in a report.
[glow=red,2,300]John Omodibo, a hotel bellman, heard Bynum screaming at 10:15 p.m. when he went outside. "I saw a black male with a three-piece suit on kicking the lady all over her body. The lady said, 'You are killing me,' " Omodibo said in a police statement. "The guy said, 'I'm going to kill you.' "[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]Omodibo grabbed Weeks and told him he was "going to jail." Bynum begged the bellman not to hurt her husband. Weeks then jumped into a Range Rover and sped away, police records show.[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]Hotel security director Luis Villamizar found Bynum in tears: "She kept repeating that her friends were coming to pick her up and she did not need police or an ambulance.''[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]Records show Bynum went to Piedmont Hospital at 3:03 a.m. on Aug. 22, complaining of neck and back pain. Bynum talked to police at Piedmont. Bynum's sister, Tina Culpepper, told police she had taken pictures of Bynum's injuries and could e-mail them to authorities. Police met with Bynum again on Aug. 23 to get their own photos. Weeks was arrested a day later.[/glow]
Bynum continues to work as a traveling evangelist and platinum-selling gospel singer. Weeks still preaches from his pulpit at Global Destiny with charismatic charm that brings women to their feet to praise God. If convicted, he could be away from his congregation for as long as 27 years.
So we already see he is lying about a lot of stuff and why she left. There's members that are planning on testifying against and some for him. And for your own members to say they are not surprise that you are accused of abusing your wife, says a lot. That's very bad.
What his spokesperson said was not a smart thing to say. Because she has not been with him all the time, so to say he has never physically harmed anyone she doesn't know that to be the truth. Just because he wasn't like that with you, you don't know how he might have been to other people.
