Because of what been given to the Body of Christ (sonship identified in Yeshua, the Holy Spirit and free access to the Word) there is less need by the Father through signs and wonders to convince His people. But there is confirmation of His Word with signs and wonder. And touching on the dynamics, every Spirit filled believer stands with the dunamis potential both speaking and in demonstration.
In these last days the prophets are in the spirit of John and Elijah. The present day prophet IS NOT to enlighten the church with some spiritual insights through symbolisms or speaking blessings and prophesying AFTER THE FACT as is the case of most self proclaimers. Also they are not sent to the "White House" or the political leaders of the world. But they are sent to the "House of God" because of their rebellion, threading upon His Word and division.
Because we are in the "Season of the Vials and Trumpets" the prophets must paved the way and turn the hearts of the church from works back to their "first love."

ok G3 I see what you are saying. I do however believe that God still has prophets who will speak the Word of God, instruction and judgement to nations. That being said however one of the main ministries of the prophet is edification and instruction in righteousness. Also personally I believe that the prophets were sent to herald the first advent of Jesus Christ with a call to repentance and I believe they will be doing the same as we approach the second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This has happened to me recently. Prophet goes forth in a word of the Lord to me. The first part is a word in regards to a prayer I had on the altar. Amen. This prophet went on to elaborate on that word, "seeing" into my past and was dead wrong. I mean it was the furthest thing from the truth. I later told them this very thing and their response was everyone misses sometimes.  They are not new in the call - several years deep. What is the proper response to "everyone misses sometimes?" |

Prophets are human and they arent perfect. See GOD never misses anything. People do.. SO then either that person missed what GOD was saying, or they werent hearing GOD at all. When we miss it we cannot take a laissez faire attitude like.. well everyone misses sometimes.. NO NO NO NO we need to REPENT because now we have said something that GOD did NOT say as if GOD said it and we need to ask for forgiveness from that saint.
AND We need to go check with GOD as to WHY we missed it. so that we dont misrepresent him again !!!!

Throw it away.... if that word was not for you for the past, present or future.... It could have been for someone else... I don't know why some prophet don't wait on the Lord and be so quick to speak a word without discerning who the word is for or rather that word came from God or their flesh. I've experienced a couple of time when the prophet gave a word that was for me.... to the person standing next to me  I looked at my Apostle and she just shook her head and smile. One of the prophet realized it afterward, but didn't how to correct it. I didn't make a big deal out of it, as long as I got the Word. I believe some prophets do not take time to rest to be regenerates, ministered to and restored and pray, but allow themselves to get burned out. And some just need to sit down some where. Hezsweetiknow.... I don't know all the reason why some miss and hit.... I do know God never miss and infallible.... He is All Knowledge, All power and All present and is perfect is everything He do and say. Man is flesh and bone and fallible.... If I'm capable of making some mistakes and have after being saved for 27 years, I guest the eight years deep prophet is not exempt from missing and hitting.... BUT, we should be walking toward perfection. my-2-cent Pray for the prophet... and no kicking the jewel, that not of God ;D AT |

They did say there were going to examine themselves which is always a good thing. We all need to do that. Pray for the prophet... and no kicking the jewel, that not of God ;D AT Ain't Kanyon a mess today? LOL! I will be in prayer for the prophet for sure. They did say there were going to examine themselves which is always a good thing. We all need to do that. Let's say this prophet wants to come and minister at your church now...knowing they have been off in the Word...do you let them come? Does forgiveness cover? For me red flags went flying up...and warning sirens went blaring! LOL! First off no one should WANT to come minister at a church. A person in all honesty should be SENT BY GOD. Secondly it is the responsibility of that leadership to seek the LORD as to whether or not they should be allowed to minister in that church.. I have seen prophets miss it before, and the length of years one has ministered prophetically does not necessarily mean they will be without error. All it takes is a moment that the person doesnt lean to JESUS as the Spirit of Prophecy or moves in a presumptuous manner. Thats why when ministering the Word of GOD says things like.. Let the prophets speak two or three at the most and let the others JUDGE.. What is being judged.. the ACCURACY of what is being spoken... We dont have to walk around in fear of prophets or prophetic words. What we need is a better balance and better teaching and training for people that mininster in the prophetic anointing. I know people right now STRONGLY gifted by GOD in the prophetic ministry that refuse to move into it because of the abuse that many prophets take from the CHURCH. They are afraid that if they ever make ONE mistake they will be ostracized and branded as a "false" prophet by the entire Body of Christ.. So now they rather sit with their mouth shut being less that GOD's plan for them out of fear. We also have to judge the word we receive. Thats OUR responsibility. Pray for prophetic people.. Let me tell you.. many are hurting.. many are scared.. many have been taken advantage of.. many have been misused by others.. and some of this is the reason they make the mistakes they do... Some are immature and need to be taught, seasoned and matured.. Some are presumptuous and speak to quickly... and some arent of God at all.. And this is the key.. we must learn to distinguish between those that are of God and those that are not of God.. and the key thing people are using to judge is accuracy.. but that is a mistake because demons can give accurate INFORMATION.. but they cannot give REVELATION... Character is the measuring stick we must learn to judge by AS WELL as accuracy.. |
