Cindy Jacobs has an excellent book on this topc.. I believe its called " The Voice of God ". Excellent reading...
Now one thing the Lord just reminded me of. When I began to ask the Lord how I could hear His voice more accurately, He said one thing...
READ MY WORD...
Reading His Word tunes your spiritual ear. His voice will ALWAYS line up with HIS WORD...

True indeed, that is how I learned - by staying in His Word. I have that book also - good reading. |

Real good book !! And I have to agree that it's staying in the Word that allows you to hear His voice.

Has anyone believed that they hear from the Lord and it turned out to be a lying spirit or a deceptive heart?

I haven't. I think that's because I'm not quick to say the Lord told me thus and so. God is getting tired of folks lying on him, saying He said stuff He never did.

Kitty its easy to get "caught up " in charisma, especially in the charismatic churches where there is no order, but like KB said....I also am one to not to be so quick to say "God said"
Question:
How come when a prophet or man/woman of God tells someone God said in 3 days you will recieve this or that, and when 3 days pass nothing happened they want to always say its conditional? Or they say "take that up with God"? I think ppl must be held accountable for stuff like that, because it can really throw ppl off course sometimes. Especially new converts.
