but it is true though OBAMA is a Muslim and I really dont think America is ready for a muslim President. Why do you say that it is true when he is quoted as saying he is not ?? because his last name is Obama  I didnt say that it was true cause I really dont know much about OBAMA I was just asking if it was true if he was a muslim or not.... |

The united states of America wasnt founded on Christian beliefs, therefore everyone is not subject to what our faith requires the BELIEVERS to uphold. How do we put more weight on one person allowing same sex marriage, vs a president who doesnt care about the needs of the poor? I thought all unrightousness was sin?

I was talking to one of the nurses the other night about obama and she was talking about how alote of people are questioning Obama's loyalty to the US like for instance He wont pledge to the American flag or put his hand over his heart. I think that is terrible if that is true...

The united states of America wasnt founded on Christian beliefs, therefore everyone is not subject to what our faith requires the BELIEVERS to uphold. All of them are professing they are christian...all of the remaining believe in same sex marriage to some degree....my point is simply this...who are we to hold non believers to what the believers are required to uphold? My opinion/belief on the matter doesn't change based on who I am speaking with. As for holding some issues "over" another, I don't necessarily believe that is being done (well in my case anyway). The article addresses these two issues and that is what the conversation is about at this time. If someone wishes to post an article regarding other issues then that particular issue will be the topic of conversation. The topic of the thread is "Who is Barack Obama, which implies that there will be several things that may/will be discussed. As far as my vote - since it is mine - there are really certain things that will be deal breakers for me because again, to vote FOR the individual is to say "I stand for what he/she believes". Some are saying, well I will just vote for the lesser of two evils but we have to understand that to do that is to still vote for evil. As for President Bush, yes he is a Christian and just like I did with Barack so also with President Bush - anything that he did that I found contradict the bible, I was not pleased with. I prayed as I will do during this election. However, if up to me - I will not be voting this year. |

All unrigghteousness is sin yes however the bible is clear that life and its sanctity is a matter for God alone.
The consequences of rivers of innocent bloodshed running through a society and the demonic onslaught, the brokeness to the souls of those that are the perpetrators ........
God hates abortion and He hates homosexuality and btw i also used to hold that not everyone is accountable to God's law if they have not professed Jesus untill the Father spoke to me so profoundly that HE HOLDS EVERYONE IN THE WORLD ACCOUNTABLE TO HIS LAW.
Wow that was a revelation. He created the heavens and the earth and Romans 1 says that He has made Himself evident to all so that no one is without excuse. Additionally if He did not hold us to His law then He would not have made an escape route via Jesus since HE IS CERTAINLY GOING TO HOLD THE WORLD ACCOUNTABLE WHICH IS WHY HE IS GOING TO HAVE A GREATH WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT.
So it is a bit unfair to say that to and about people since they are going to find themselves being judged in the after life by God's standards whether or not they chose to respond to Him.
Rom 1:18 ¶ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
and
2Ti 4:1 I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Lol and since God told me that i have included it when i am witnessing very effective. It is love to tell people that they are on a collision course with the wrath and judgement of God.
That there is a God in heaven who made and fashioned them for His glory and His love to whom they will have to give an account one day and who holds them to His standard because He has not just laid down His law but He has give us the power and ability through Christ Jesus the propitiation to follow His commands.
That is why none of us are without excuse.

God doesnt Judge people because of the presence of evil,but because of the absense of righteousness. He didnt judge Sodomn because they were evil, but because he wouldnt find one righteous. God doesnt just hate homosexuality and abortion..he hates SIN. We cannot be pharicical in our approach towards whats wrong and not as wrong. And if we are talking about the law of God, God NEVER commanded the unsaved to keep his law, but he gave it to the house of isreal. Those laws were fulfilled by Christ and then spread abroad to the gentiles...when the laws were no longer written on stone,but in our hearts...supported by John 3:16...For God so loved the WORLD(cosmos)...Which made it no longer about Just isreal, but about WHO SO EVER. My vote for any of the people will almost certainly go against something I believe...but so does jobs, places I eat, and people I sit next to when I ride the bus. Heck even Jesus knew judas would do what he did, but he still picked him...lol. |
