Jasmine, you talking my kinda food! Ya'll my DH did it up this pass weekend (we had company over for dinner on Sun.) Neck bones(just falling off the bones) over rice with a nice onion gravy, greens, yams, fried catfish fillets on the side and of course "jiffy" ...he cooked up quite a spread ya'll, I been eating neckbones for the past two days and all that gravy...ummmmmm, really I need to be whuppped! I had to simmer myself down and bring summer sausage and crackers for lunch today LOLROFLOL  |

I actually came on this thread tonight to get the salmon recipe. I got a salmon unthawing in my sink. It aint stuffed, but it will do.
I think im going to pecan crust it, or do a lemon garlic salmon. some mixed vegatables, and rice.
Endure, girl that was quite a spread. Ya'll need to invite me and my hubby over for dinner. them neck bones sounded delish!

Well if it's a flat deep crockpot then you can cook some good meat dishes. Meatloaf, Roast, chicken...etc. or you can cook some black eyed peas, or greens , cabbage, something along those lines.

yeah the thing has all these buttons on it, and it has some type of bag inside it and it cost a lot of money.

Go to the store and buy some Crock Pot dishes. (In the freezer section) Marie Callender has some really good ones. The bag may be used to keep your crock pot clean. You can also make chili in it which is pretty good.

a bag? aren't you supposed to take the bag out? it has some parts in their..lol
You can cook whatever you want to cook in a crock pot! the options are limitless. Please allow 4 to 6 hours, of if you like me gather your ingredients the night before and throw it in their and let it all cook together.

Well because I am in the mood to cook, and I only cooked once in the past 2wks because relatives were visiting with us, and my husband has been sooo wonderful. I making fried catfish fillets, cabbage, yams, and "jiffy" cornbread. and topping it off with our favorite drink.."french accent" The' Doctor Pepper *smile* mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmm you are making me hungry Jasmine....That sound like some good ole' soul food some homemade mac and cheese is the only thing thats missin... |
