I was wondering the proper attire for wemon on the pulpit. I am a Praise and Worship Leader and I am on the pulpit every sunday and I just want to make sure I dress appropriatly. I always try my best to dress modest and everything especially for church and if im traveling and ministering cause I don't want to affend anyone. Is there things that we should or shouldn't do? The only thing my pastor likes for the ladies not to wear pants on the pulpit.

If the only thing your pastor requires is that you not wear pants in the pulpit then you are wearing proper attire for your church.
However, women's attire differs from church to church. I would suggest investing in at least one preaching robe if you minister at other churches. This way you will always be properly dressed and no one will be offended.

I am a praise and worship leader, and we minister in other churches. My thing with the clothes is...if I don't do it in my own church, I won't do it at anybody elses church. I am a representative of God first, but I also represent my church.
A robe would be way to excessive for a Praise and Worship leader unless everybody was wearing them.

I agree with Jasmine, a robe may be a bit much. I also believe that the Spirit will convict if you aren't dressed right.
As for not offending when you go to other churches - you can always ask and find out what their rules are.

Sometimes, you may not know what the proper attire is... however there are certain things that you can wear that are UNIVERSAL:
A long black skirt, a white top or even a nice top... nothing to "loud"..... stockings and some churches do require head coverings so I would say that every woman should invest in at least 1 (it should be only $1) and keep that in their purse, just in case.

Many blessings Jessica And small earrings (if anything) should be worn. If you wear a lot of bracelets, people may begin to focus on your arms, etc. Many times, it's better not to wear it.... or put it on after P&W... but a lot will depend on the standards for that house.

I agree I normally dont wear bracletts cause it can become a distraction when you hand goes up and you are trying to Praise the Lord. I usually wear just a little necklace and some hoop earrings or a pair of studs you cant go wrong with a pair of studs.

I think another good idea for you ladies that wear makeup is to wear water proof mascara. I don't wear it all the time but its good to have some to wear to church cause you never know whats gonna happen and the Spirit of God get a hold of you and you end up lookin like a racoon before The Spirit gets through with you. if you all know what I mean.
Many Blessings Jessica
