hello Saints,
I did a search on-line for web sites about Black marriage or Black Christian marriages. Sadly I couldn't find much except for dating and match.com type of web sites.
As most of you know I am looking to end my single days in the very near future. I am taking time to sit before God in prayer about what kind of wife God wants me to be but also taking the time to study marriage in general.
The idea came to me to create a webs site that promotes positive examples of marriage in the Black community so I register the domain name successful black marriages.com
My goal is to give good examples of Black couples that have been married for 10 years or more. The web site will feature a picture of each couple and a short story about how they met and how they decided to get married.
As of now I know that there are 3 people on this board that I would like to interview and ask if they would be interested in being profiled on the web site...
But in the meantime I am intending on meeting with the couples interviewing them. Basically I am going to ask the couples what do they think about the state of marriage in the Black community, how can it be changed, and what has made their marriage last over the years...
So guys I just wanted to ask for your input... What questions would you suggest I ask these couples as I interview them? What elements would you think should be on a site like this?
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks for your support. I appreciate it... Now Beck have you been married ofr 10 years? I know that you and Nikkol are here in Philadelphia. If you have been married for 10 years... And if Nikkol would agree to be on the website ( Will You Nikkol??? PLeeezE) then I would love to meet with you both for lunch to discuss my project a little more and to get ideas on marriage and a picture of you and your spouse that can be posted on the web site.

I truly appreciate it... you all mean so much to me! LOL
Beck... I'm so glad to hear that your wife is excited to be on the web site... That keeps me encouraged. I think the web site will inspire a lot of people.
Kanyon and Jasmine... I'm gonna have to hit you guys by phone since you are a bit far for me to travel. But start looking for pictures of you and your spouses together that you can send to me to be on the web site. It can be an actual picture that I can return to you or something that you scan and email.
Nikkol and Beck pick a day this month that we can meet up. Oh and Nikkol I'm going to ask Julia as well. If we could meet at the same time that would be nice. But if not I can work with your individual schedules...

hey Beck & Nikkol,
What are you guys doing around the weekend of Feb 14th? Specifically on friday feb 15th? If you are free I would like to meet with the both of you guys for lunch or dinner on me to interview you all for the web site.
I can meet with you both together or separtely if there is a conflict in time.... Oh yeah Nikkol... I called Julia and she has agreed to be on the web site too. You guys let me know...

Hey Guys,
I just wanted to give you all an update on my project. I have been in the process of completing the first stage... I have been getting copies of the couples that I want to present on the web site as positive examples.
This week I got a chance to drop by Nikkol's house met her husband spoke with her for about a hot minute. I got her picture and it has been taken to my web designer and scanned. I'm meeting with some other couples this week coming up.
Jasmine... I would love to put your story up on the web site... When you get a chance please email me a picture of you and your husband!
Has anybody seen Beck? He's been missing in action lately. He's one of the couples I'm trying to meet for dinner next week! Beck if your reading this please give me a call... I'm looking forward to meeting you and your wife...
