question.. will your site only be limited to black marriages.. what about a black person that married a white, asian or latino person.. does that qualify?  and is it only christian marriages |

Hey Giants,
You ask some very important questions. At this point in time I am seek Black couples. The reason being that Black singles are the main group that I am seeking to uplift as my target audience. I decided to do the site because although I could find plenty of web sites for good marriages or even Christian marriages. I couldn't find any that were specifically about promoting positive images of marriage in the Black community. I actually got my idea from a christian web site about christian courtships and marriage. I'll come back and send a link so that people can see the web site I'm talking about. The site gives wonderful testimonies about christians that did it God's way from start to finish. And I have read the stories and visited the site for about 3 years. Then one day it hit me... Of all the couples on the site. There was only one Black couple. That started to bother me... so then I did a search and couldn't find any positive site about Blacks and marriages period let alone Black Christian Marriages.
I have not declared the web site to be a Christian site per se... However, technically it is because I am a Christian, so far all of the couples I have asked to be on the site are Christian and the advice given on the board will be bibically based... However all are welcomed to visit and join in on discussions and give opinions since the web site will have a message board.

Now the web site I am trying to create will be slightly different because it focus is on people that have already been married. There will be a message board included with the web site... People will have to register in order to post. I do have one of my mentors who has been married for over 40 year and worked as a counselor in ministry who will be on the board. I guess there could be a married only section if it will make people feel more comfortable to discuss certain issues of their lives.
Oh yeah... I'm still looking for your photo!

Kitty I think you should allow users to have more than one login name, so when they discuss things that are really personal, no one will know that they are a regular board member and ppl won't look at them cross eyed when they give advise... Another word if a person discuss deep personal marriage issues, they would not be judged when they trying to give advise or testimony. PPL are very funny.... and this is a small world, we don't know who know who.... especially when you can find them on myspace with their pictures.... an extra login in name that they can cancel and change for protection... |

I think it is wonderful what the Lord is using you to do Sister Kitty especially in wake of the attcak of the enemy on churches these last few decades -God richly bless and if there is anything i can do do let me know.

Beulah,
It is my hope that God will indeed use me for good in this project. I've got to get really focused because I have been slowing down as my course work as started to pick up. But I need to really be mindful of all of my time.
By the way guys.... Giants was gracious enough to send me a lovey picture of him and his wife! I'm not presenting him as a profile couple on the site since he hasn't been married for 10 years yet... But I'm using picutrues a couples and Christian that I know as part of the decore of the site and I have always admired his testimony.
It is a lovely picture!
Oh yeah Jasmine... I'm still looking forward to getting a picture from you! I'm gonna start bugging you daily soon!
And has anybody heard from Beck?
