Sen. McCain rejected two major tele-evangelists endosement !!! McCain rejected endorsements from two evangelicals. The Rev. John Hagee has been criticized as anti-Catholic, but McCain rejected his endorsement only after a Web site unearthed a sermon Hagee gave portraying Hitler as a tool God used to deliver Jews to the promised land. This may be true, it gave them a drive to get back to the promise land McCain disowned the Rev. Ron Parsley's endorsement after ABC News reported that he had called Islam an "anti-Christ" religion. they are anti-Christ:-/

For if it were not election time it may not even be a big deal to them!

True....But, the followers of these two major ministries is the one voting for McCain, not only their church members, but those who follow them through the television ministries... you are speaking of thousands or may be millions of ppl. These are the ppl who put Bush in the White and will try to put McCain in the White... They are the one that's praying for the man. If these ppl decide not to vote for McCain, he has a small chance of getting into the White House... They are voting against The Two Issues, and that is it... not the best candidate... PPl are tried of Bush's administration and look for a change (here I go... a Obamite) The Christians who are voting for McCain, cancelling their endosement, could cause him to lose... well to me he already lost

This may be true - however if he continues to stand with him he suffers a greater chance of losing. It really is all just a game.

Received this via e-mail today: ***Please consider forwarding this urgent message to your email contact lists*** A brief glance at the headlines of our daily newspapers exposes the frailty of the moral fabric of our nation as the corruption of sin digs its claws deeper and deeper into the hearts and minds of our young people. The serpentine stranglehold of abortion continues to squeeze the life out of over 1.6 million wombs every year in our nation, wiping out nearly one-third of an entire generation born since 1973. The growing slave trade of pornography, homosexuality, human trafficking, and sexual perversion—not only accepted by the culture, but now shamelessly promoted by it—has claimed countless young men and women, pilfering the Kingdom of the Lord’s inheritance. 2008 is an incredibly important year in the history of our nation—politically, culturally and economically. We are truly in an hour of crisis. In the midst of it all, God is calling His people back to Himself. Now is the time to sound the alarm! Who will hear His cry? In 2000, 400,000 people, both young and old, gathered on the National Mall in Washington, DC to fast and pray believing the dream that a nation can change. That gathering and many others have marked tens of thousands of young people, inciting a prayer revolution and inspiring a dream in their hearts that they could be a voice for change. Now, the nation is in crisis again and we feel it is time for TheCall to go to a national scale in another historic gathering in our nation’s capital. TheCall isn’t a conference or a festival; it is a solemn assembly—a gathering of all ages, races and denominations. The 12 hours of TheCall are spent primarily before the Lord in the place of prayer and worship. We believe the hour is late and the time’s urgent. Our nation is in desperate need of revival. We’re seeing the signs of God moving, but we do not have what we want. We have to have a full-scale revival break loose, and it will be only through the collective body of Christ uniting together in the place of prayer that we will find any hope in this hour. We must strike, strike and strike again until we have widespread revival! When there is no remedy, when there is no hope for a nation, God still has a holy prescription… “Blow the trumpet in Zion, gather the people, call a fast.” (Joel 2:12-18) Will you join us for TheCall DC, August 16th on the National Mall in Washington, DC to cry out with fasting and prayer that the dream of God could yet be fulfilled for this nation? For more information, visit TheCall.com and watch TheCall’s 3-minute Promo Video. See you at the National Mall on August 16th! THE CALL

Hey Guys, I need to post more on this topic... I know that I focused on the aspect of voting about Gays and abortions... And those are most definitely hot topics...
As a Christian I never felt lead to simply vote republican because they supposedly stand against abortion and gay marriage... So I voted democratic... But I was never in any denial that the democratics represented my belief in God in any way...
But for me I had the most peace with this decision. But I really started to take the time to think to myself... Why am I having more peace this way?
Why don't I ever have the heart to vote republican?
Then during the course of a few months... the answer has really come to me strongly. especially during my time reading the bible...
I never felt peace voting for them because I sensed a hatred in the hearts of many ot them... even those who claimed to be Christian... they have a disdain for a certain lot of people that are actually close to God's heart yet we never talke about them...
As I studied the bible more... there is scripture after scripture, after scriputre about God's concern about this group of people but it is never discussed...
The group of people that I am talking about is the poor...
I never had any peace voting republican because their policies go directly against the poor and made many people that were steps away frome being broke...terribly broke! The have also made it just about impossible to do what people used to do in the past... Pull themselves up by their boot straps...
So today I am going to chanellege you guys to go and do a bible study on the issue that you all think are important to you... Then compare it to the vast number of scriptures that are in the bible concerning the poor and their treatment...
I stated a while back that I was going to post some scriptures on this everyday...
I didn't do it but I'm going to start up again today...

Hey KITTY!
Could you post these policies here in the thread? I can't say that I believe from what I know of their policies that they are "against the poor". But so that we don't go based on hearsay, having the policies that validate your opinion would be good information for us to have.
BTW: I haven't forgotten about you....just been VERY hectic

Ok Guys, While there are indeed scriptures about homosexuality.... and scriptures that we can apply to abortion... none of them come close in number to the amount of scriptures present about the poor?
So with that being the case.... can we really say that God is more concerned about these other 2 issues?
Pr 13:23 A poor man's field may produce abundant food, but injustice sweeps it away.
Pr 14:31 He who opporesses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
Ps 14:6 "you evil doers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge."
Ex 23:6 " Don not deny justice to your poor people in lawsuits.'
Le 19:10 " Do not go over your vine yard a 2nd time or pick up the grapes that have fallen Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the Lord your God.
Le 25:35 "If one of your country men becomes poor amoung you and sells himself to you, do nit make him work as a slave."
There are plenty more... But I will start here...

Nikkol...
I'll take the time to go over the policies that I think directly affect the poor... But I will start with some of the most obvious ones...
Public school education... Why is it that in general less money is given to funding education? Especially since the average American really can't afford to send their child to a private school? Then there is all this mess about people wanting vouchers to send their kids to private schools... Rather than a move put more mony into those schools so that the kids get a better education rather than a poor one?
Secondly... We can start with the issue of lawsuits... I posted a scripture up above in regards to the poor and lawsuits... The Enron scandel was one of the biggest rip offs in history... But the lead guy at the top was protected for a long time by president Bush... Thosands of people lost everything that they had... pension plans everything and are now forced to an over stress social security system...
Enron is just the first... but why does many members in the republican party seem to favor companies that ripe off their own employees?
