I am absolutely astounded that on this, a predominately African American forum that there is no mention of the inauguration of Barrack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. This Canadian is happy and praying for your new president. Am I the only one? C'mon, speak up! ;D

no you're not the only one, perhaps everyone is on their way to washington, or glued to the tv/computer, or just tired of all the hoopla................
i'll be watching it online, and i've been giving shout outs on air (i work in radio), and dedicating songs as well ...........
:-)
i think that regardless of party lines, most everyone is probably celebrating for the simple fact that history is being made in america, just my opinion

They just said that Michelle Obama is the first, First Lady to being a present to the outgoing first lady. I watched her DNC speech or the first time the other night online and I watched Barak's for the first time too. I eyes welled with tears. Both of them are preachers. If they were called to politics they'd be pastoring a mega church.

i just watched the clip via cnn.com of michelle presenting mrs bush with the present, i thought it was nice, also noticed the way michelle went for the handshake and mrs bush went for the hug, she (michelle) is still finding her way, the newness and freshness brings a humanity to her that i find refreshing, it's okay that she's unsure, it shows that she's human, smile, but errrrr, "both of them are preachers"

just my opinion based on what I saw and heard.
I was thinking that it looked like Michelle wasn't sure if Mrs Bush would want to embrace her. Sometimes when you're not sure you play it safe.
Michelle is one of my heroes anyway because she's my height. Or just an inch shorter. I NEED her waistline.

I am at work and I was only able to catch the last of his speech. Yet, when I went to the ladies room there was a serious "praise" party going in there from a couple of coworkers. People are ready for a change and are just as excited as we are..and I know that one lady is from New Hampshire..

I have been glued to the TV.... First Lady Michelle is really hot... no coat in freezing weather, I love her outfit. I've couldn't help fr crying for both former Pres. Bush (kind of sad) and Pres. Obama (very very happy). I am so exited.. actually seeing history in the making!!! I have families that going to be at the major ball... This the is time in my life I am really proud to be an american!!! Rigth now I am enjoying the parade!
I feel so bad for Former Pres. Bush beause he is blame for everything... He may have made bad some discisions and fail in getting good advice. We all know in a business cycle we have recovery, prosperity, recession and depression and it always go around, we just feel the recession or depression this time. Yesterday they had a giant blown up man and the ppl threw shoes at, as their way of saying bye to him, I felt extremly bad. Please pray for Bush as you pray for Sen. Kennedy
