Jasmine: LOL I think so... that's what happen when you you just look at the last 20 threads......lol
I think that the deception that was great in the church came when the Catholic church was seen as the "Christian church"....... the deception that the leaders are better, can get their prayers answered faster, are smarter, wiser, etc. than those who aren't "leaders" (AKA the clergy laity distinction).... However, I think that that deception is slowly being dismantled as men and women of God begin to understand that everyone (clergy or not) are able to do wonders and spread the gospel and help others in need.

I have to be honest. God, not man is calling for His REMENANT..not man. He is beginning to open our eyes and see our leaders in all "their glory". Whether it's sexual sin, stealing, adultery, or whatever" God is uncovering this stuff. WE not longer can sit back and say "Pray for em...they didn't know any better". No one is accusing this man of anything he admitted to committing these sins..let's call them what they are. AT..I love ya, but, you need to heal in the area that you are so passionate about. Many of us on the bb have been hurt by leaders..while we were leaders in leadership. That stings !! His maybe covered under the Blood. yet, why continue to trample on the blood of Jesus; by continuing to do what you know God has said "not so" ? God forbid !! Some of the things that our leaders lead others into sin..they will be held accountable for they did and did not do. Malachi 2: 8 reads But as for you, you have caused many to stumble by the instruction, you have corrupted the covenant of of Levi, says the Lord of hosts. Hebrews 10:26-28 reads as follows:
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
God is not winking at what is happening in our churches; there are consequences to our actions on earth and in heaven. Our leaders are men and women just as we are and they sin just as we do. The Word of God applies to us all..and it should not be that we use the blood of Jesus to cover up our sins. We actually should be trying to sin less.

Well the bible says in 1st Corinthians 11 i believe that if we were to judge our own selves then we would not be judged. IMO that means by ppl or by God.
Just say, if he would have honestly repented and stopped the deed of taking the money before he got caught then I believe all this would not have came out like this. God gives us chances to judge ourselves to make a choice to continue or repent from doing a thing.
Even though if it was done out of ignorance the law still says something about it. And im wondering, of course he didnt have no business taking the money out of the collection plate right off, that's why he didnt know about paying the taxes on it, because it was intended to be hidden(If it really wasnt done in ignorance) God weighs the intent of the heart. If you were doing something wrong and you really didnt want a person to know about it, then there would be some way that you will be exposed eventually. Im sure he was receiving a salary check so he wouldnt have to get cash "under the table". Usually now a days that's how churches give to the leaders..by check.
