How we suppose to have a burning desire to be spotless, when our leaders are not spotless... How the ppl suppose to live holiness, when the leader committing adultery and fornicating. How the ppl suppose to move from the world when the leader bring in the world to win young ppl to Christ... Praise and worship and choir have became entertianment, ppl are not being led into the Holy of Holiness... no breakthroufh, no deliverance, no discipline, no rebuke, no repend, no teaching of holiness.... just come to church to feel good and listen to a good sermon that don't offend you... So I agree with you... over burden ppl with man made doctrine lead to rebellousness... Preaching the truth, discipline, rebuke and holiness bring change... Like I said, I am for reasonable house rules and standards especially for music ministries, ministers, dance and drama ministries... and standard for all members... that why every person should complete new members class before becoming a member and all rules, standard etc. should be lay out and repect during church business meeting... It should be reasonable and not controlling and not violating certain boundaries... 1. Since when is what a leader does/doesn't do mean that we shouldn't want to live holy? Evenn Paul said "Follow me as I follow Christ." Just because a person is in leadership doesn't mean that they can't mistakes/error. HOWEVER, even if there is a situation, we as a ppl should still love them, cover them and help them back on their feet. But I never liked that excuse. It's like someone saying, well, noone in my family ever went to college so how am I suppose to go? It's an excuse....a bad excuse. Not to mention that our relationship should be towards God, we should want to live holy, etc. because that's what God requires of us...not because of what someone else does/doesn't do. 2. Over-burdened ppl with man-made "doctrine" may lead SOME to rebellion...but if they are ever able to come back to themselves, many have found out that they should've just listened instead of finding out things the HARD way. I even learned some things the hard way and looking back, if I would've just stayed the course I was on and not fall into peer pressure (which is why it's important to have our young ppl spend time with other young saved ppl), things that became very hard in my life would've have happened. 3. And it's important to not put every church in the same category 4. What do you think are "reasonable" house rules? And wouldn't your opinion be relative as there may be those that would think that even your "house rules" are unreasonable? |

Just because a person is in leadership doesn't mean that they can't mistakes/error. May be you have been raised in a church, but many ppl haven't and look to the leaders to teach them. When I got saved, my pastor didn't teach holiness.... He say it ok to party as long as you don't drank... I stopped going to church when I was very young so I wasn't churched. The pastor wife was at one party dancing with one of my ex... I got little upset and uncomfortable about the situation... Later the Holy Spirit begin to convict me and I stop partying and listening to worldly music... The leader do play an important part in leading the church. So those all their life know what to do... Yes... Over-burden ppl with man made doctrines can lead to rebellious... man made doctrines are lies and not truth..... There a different in House Rules and Man- Made Doctrines. One convince ppl that they well go to hell if they did XYZ it a form of control.... The other lay out rules in the House of God along with reasons for the purpose of spiritual growth/maturity, disciplines, respect each other and the House of God and peace.. What  ... general speaking... nobody categorize churches  My former church require all ministers, intercessors, music ministries, dance, drama and floor worker take part in the church corporate prayers, faithful in attendance, Ministers must attend ministerial training classes and Bible study, no eating in the sanctuary, those who late must sit in the back, no bathroom, parking lot, back seat prophecies, must be done in front one of prophet, elder or pastor.... No counsel ling members or visitors, no gossip in or around the church. etc... these are a few rules... |

Some (many) traditions have gotten in the way we hear from the Lord. I feel we have began to focus on the wrong things which makes Satan happy. I am catching criticism because I do NOT like to wear a hat to church including first Sunday during Communion. I'm not a hypocrite and for me to wear a hat just because of the Christian complainers who say and FEEL I should, I think is wrong. I was instructed by one to read I Cor. Chapter 11 which I did. Please see verse 15. I'm not bald-headed. Isn't this saying my "Hair" is my covering? This has caused friction and I know God is not pleased with us. Share your thoughts.

New Kids on the Block is my favourite pop-band of 90s. They had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'Tonight', 'Baby, I Believe In You' and, of course their hit 'Step By Step'. These are real songs, not fake ones like today! And it is sooo good they have a tour in 2019! And I'm going to attend their concert this year.
