You have a right to disagree..yet, if you do a self assessment you will see there is some truth to the matter. Sadly, this is alot attacking going on..and boy, on the last topic before it was locked..I seriously thought I was going to see some blood shed. Some like a hot debate..nothing wrong with that..yet, my question is what changes in your own life have you made since this event hit the airwaves ? God is calling for CHANGE and that also includes the way we view (idolize) our leaders and their not so holy actions...while telling (yelling) you to live Holy !!

Keita..it's funny you mentioned how God teaches us. I know that there some disagreement about what I getting ready type..as I was reading the posting something came to mind. I know everyone remembers when she said that she wanted both hands married to her husband because she did not want to be a foolish woman and tear her house down. (Paraphrasing) Just a thougt..God had already shown her what would become of her home if she acted foolishly. I do believe that God will show us in advance of an outcome of a situation; yet, it all depends on how well we hear and what we do with what we've heard. It is my hope that all learn what we need to learn about ourselves, each other, our leaders (local and national) and move onto healing from this situation. See now, that's what I'm talking about! GOD is not just showing her, HE's showing US...OURSELVES in and through this entire mess. In light of all the madness going on within our churches..care to do a study on 2 Choronicles 7:14 ? YBrown, I agree with you 100% identifying people by their sin is not Christ like; however my issue is not with individuals it is calling out Homosexuals, Adulterers, Whoremongers (etc..) who are the leaders of our churches sitting in the Pulpits across America every Sunday....... [/b][/quote] PREACH!!!GOD's intent with this exposure is so not about Thomas Weeks or whatshis/hername's individual sexuality, wickedly outing people or gay-bashing... it's about GOD judging HIS people according to HIS standards for HOLINESS against what we have learned and have become quite willing to tolerate, accept, and follow. ...my question is what changes in your own life have you made since this event hit the airwaves ? We were final getting on one accord on this thread.... because the piece of the pizzle were coming together. It wasn't that bad... and shouldn't have been locked.... I think the problem is that some of us want to continue discussing the topic and other don't... but the one who don't... don't want those who do to continue to discuss the topic... It is a form of control.. It open my eyes to understand what those in minsters have to deal with and that they are not extempt from spiritual attacks, trails, tribulations and life situations and I should not expect them to act like supper man and woman. They faces the same problem and issues as everyone else plus greater demonic attacks. I learn that they sometime make mistakes and wrong decisions and suffer for it. They have alot to deal with... they are stewart of God's ministries, God's ppl, their personal life, families and some have businesses, on top of that. It show me how I should pray for all leaders in the Body of Christ and especially those who are known to me. My eyes are open to the tricks, plan and the assignments of the enemy... if he can destroy these leaders, he can get to the Body... His target is the televangelist and megachurch pastors... they have the most ppl... My attacks... is not to the leaders, but the plans and assignments of the enemy.... I now see the principality, strongholds, power, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickness.... I now know how to war against these demons... What we see is only the manifestion of what is taking place in the spiritual realm. I gain insight.... now I can speak to that devil and send him to dry places to dry up!!!... I loose my spiritual leaders from these spiritual attacks in Jesus Mighty Name!!!! |

AT..things did get that bad. I will not sit here and say there were moments that I was right..when I know I clearly wrong. Sadly, many in the body of Christ walk around in righteousness..not of God, but..self. One the biggest problems that we face is that we cannot see how stinky our junk is..but, it's always them, they, him, and her..but, never me !! We all know to pray for our leaders..yet, I do believe there comes a time when God says enough..there is sin the camp and stinking up everything and everybody tied to it...and he brings in his own judgment because he is trying to get OUR attention. Things did get carrried away..there were days I sat back and posted nothing..but, I could feel the cutting words and the pain that came with it. Words typed in haste, and in sacrasm brought out the worst in alot of us. Do you really God was glorified or was pleased with the madness that was jumping off on this board ? Are we getting anywhere or is this topic headed in the direction of the other 2 or 3 ? We will see.

Nor do I think that negativity is all or the most important thing that was happening in many of those discussions. And that's precisely why we ALL need to cease any communication which opens the door or keeps it open for "the madness" to continue....so that the real deal and the best of our contributions are not choked out by it. That includes the cessation of vain imaginings (bka speculation gone wild), gossip and slander. That includes the cessation of rehashing the past history of, as well as the past mistakes and shortcomings of members on these threads. And that includes the cessation of purposely baiting others to debate and folks continuing to take that bait, as well as giving up the need to be right by proving others wrong. I have seen enough evidence to believe that we CAN do MUCH better than that. But spirit is willing but flesh can be a real bugaboo so as you said: And ALL of us who continue to participate will bear the responsibility for the outcome and be known by the intention, nature and quality of our responses. So yes, we will see indeed. |

**Side Note: I don't believe that they should get back together nor that they should've ever been together. However, putting that "aside" for a minute to just deal with the situation, there are some points that I want to make:
1. This incident I don't think had much to do with shame being bought to the church. Most ppl outside the church don't have to look further than their proverbial "front door" to know what are the issues. I think that as the scripture indicates, the whole incident should've been resolved by the church.
2. How long does someone have to "sit down" after making a mistake? I was just thinking... what if there was a mandatory period of time to "sit down" after we sin against God? God forbid he come during our "sit down" time. And for those that say he shouldn't preach again because he admitted to a crime, I guess Paul was all out of order as he went around KILLING Christians..... yet God called him. And let's not forget Peter and his foul mouth.......
3. Why is it that we feel as though he has to do something dirty and painful? Should our intentions be to "break someone"? Would that be considered taking vengeance into our own hands?
4. Why are we so upset/hurt based on the lives of two people? None of us know the whole story. We only know what ppl are allowing us to know and therefore, although we can make assumptions and "a diagnosis", it really can't hold much weight unless we are either Juanita or Thomas.
5. I wonder if God forbid we found ourselves in a fault dealing with something similar..... how would we feel if ppl were "throwing us under a bus". It does make me wonder, can we as a body actually forgive?

You know, I still read over the first thread . JB attacked by her husband, and yes there were at times some discussions that were heated. My responses in (high intense posts) are based on disbelief of a persons comments, and accusations or etcs...
On the second thread " Bishop Weeks to release book"..I didn't respond as much, and the majority of my responses were related to other things.
HOWEVER, I posted all of that to say, I was wrong in some of posts that I wrote. I kept speculation to a minimum, however I can look back and see for myself that I have brought both some nuggets from the original posts. Not only that, I have learned that I don't need to fight every battle.. AND my itching finga don't need to get involved.
The OVERARCHING (yes! I said it) message from GOD that I believe is shining through these posts, and to HIS people is that...your sins will be exposed. Its been time out for foolishness. It's been time out for seeking after our own personal desires..We've sought everything but Him.
We are not as effective as we used to be, we've grown stale..and this incident was another wake up call, that GOD issued. The sad thing is...God has been issuing wake up calls to his children for the Longest of time.
Why did it take this incident for millions across the globe to acknowledge to some level of degree, that SIN, and seeking after your own has been slowing killing our effectiveness as being witnessed for Christ. Homosexuals, child molesters, rapists, liars, whore mongers, sexual perversions, sitting right in leadership, proclaiming to lead our people into the presence of God.
I have taken a HARD-hard core look at myself..and found somethings to be quite ugly. Its easy to get on these boards and talk about..oh yes, Christ is the keeper of my soul, and I'm walking in righteousness everyday...however I don't see you, you don't see me..We have no clue how each of us live on a daily basis..
I can see both the negative and positive with these posts, however I am choosing to read, respond at appropriate times, (when allowed), because I MUST examine my self. I must not be so fixated on my own righteousness that I miss what God is speaking to me at this very moment, this very hour.
And HE is speaking.

I think the issue is that both JB and TW declared they were two called and very highly anointed ministers who live and walked with a Godly mantle........... It stems back from the "No More Sheets" or "The Process" message that JB preached so hard and her ministry was geared and targeted toward women getting themselves together before God will bless them with a husband... and of course her ministry grew and the focus was off women and more on spiritual development..... However with all that history and preaching to masses about preparation for s husband the Lord (according to Bynum) blesses her with a husband and now she is comparing that covenant blessing(gift) to a Cadillac car...... The issue I have with this whole fiasco......is what about the Word and what about your faith and what about you being a mouthpiece for the Lord.... You know I would have felt better watching that interview if JB would have humbled herself and apologized for missing God regarding her marriage rather than sitting there trying to make some cute lil cliche out of this mess.... I respect her for being bold but be bold in your mistakes in ministry too and not just talk about the worldly things you have done.... it is alright to admit that during this season JB missed God and with all her preparations and revelation knowledge that she's received from God regarding marriage.... that JB missed it and turn to encourage all the young ladies out there who listened to her tapes and the messages preached that gave so many hope to still hold on........ Apologize to the people who bought your tapes, books, messages and DVD's believing that you anointed prophetess of God had this thing all together.... |

DID YOU ALL KNOW THAT ANOTHER STORY CAME THE DAY AFTER THIS ONE WHERE BISHOP WEEKS EXPLAINED HIS GUILTY PLEA? HE EXPLAINED THAT HE HAD TO PLEAD GUILTY TO ASSAULT BECAUSE STATE LAW REQUIRES THAT HE DOES. HE STILL DENIES DOING ANYTHING OTHER THAN PUSHING HER. STATE LAW SAYS THAT PUSHING IS ASSAULT AND THAT'S THE ONLY REASON HE PLEAD GUILTY TO THE ASSAULT CHARGES. HE ALSO SAID THAT JUANITA CALLED HIM THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS HEARING AND TOLD HIM THAT THIS DID NOT NEED TO GO TO TRIAL . huh? ALL THAT TALK SHE WAS DOING AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN LET'S NOT GO TO TRIAL? WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IF THEY HAD GONE TO TRIAL ALL HER DIRT WOULD HAVE COME TO THE SURFACE AND SHE DIDN'T WANT TO RISK THAT. AFTTER HE FINISHES HIS SENTENCE ALL CHARGES WILL BE EXPONGED FROM HIS RECORD. HE DENIED AGAIN ANY RUMOR THAT THEY ARE RECONCILING OR TRYING TO OR TAKING STEPS IN THAT DIRECTION. WOULD YOU?
MY TWO CENTS IS THAT I NEVER BELIEVED HER. SOMETHING IN MY SPIRIT NEVER QUITE WENT ALONG WITH HER. SEE I'VE BEEN THROUGH SEPARATION AND DIVORCE AND THERE ARE THINGS THAT "WE" KNOW THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T BEEN THROUGH IT DON'T KNOW. BUT THE PRINICIPLE IS STILL THE SAME DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION. ALWAYS BEWARE OF THE ONE DOING ALL THE TALKING. GOING FROM PLACE TO PLACE, PERSON TO PERSON, STATION TO STATION DOING ALL THE TALKING. TRYING TO GET THEIR STORY OUT THERE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WHEN THE OTHER PERSON COMES FORWARD PEOPLE'S MINDS ARE ALREADY MADE UP. IT'S CALLED DAMAGE CONTROL. THAT'S ALL THAT WAS. PLAYING THE ROLE OF THE VICTIM. IT DIDN'T WASH WITH ME.
I paid attention to the things she said from the beginning when asked if there had been previous abuse. She said yes but it's how she answered that got me. "There's been pushing, shoving". When the answer should have been, "He has pushed me, shoved me". So what does that tell you? The pushing and shoving was being done by HER NOT HIM. Pay attention.
I've been in some of her services and I've seen enough of her in the midst of all the teaching and anointing to know something. SHE'S GOT ISSUES. DEEP ISSUES AND SHE'S MEAN. SHE CAN'T EVEN HIDE IT. But people get so caught up in the hype and so called glory that they look right at stuff and don't see it. When the story broke about the assault I said one thing. If he did do it, she pushed him to it. If the conversation started in the restaurant and the beat down happened in the parking lot, what happened in between? He left so how did it happened. She came out behind him and picked a fight the way he said she did the whole time they were married. Hitting him over the head with things, picking up bricks and threatening to hit him with them, jumpin on his car and not letting him drive off.
When the second story broke where he explained his plea I understood, because when that first story broke something about it still didn't sit right with me. Now I know.
How come nobody has posted the second story explaining the guilty plea?

I think that was Juanita's point in telling the Bishop that it doesn't need to go to trial. Sometimes people "oversport" themselves. They get to talking and they forget that their stuff stanks. Then when they begin to realize the damage they're about to do they get quiet and start talking peace talks.
This is why we need the HOLY GHOST. And it's why we need to pay attention to Him even if He's showing us something about one of our Christian "celebrities". Just wait it out and it will always come to the surface.
