DID YOU ALL KNOW THAT ANOTHER STORY CAME THE DAY AFTER THIS ONE WHERE BISHOP WEEKS EXPLAINED HIS GUILTY PLEA? HE EXPLAINED THAT HE HAD TO PLEAD GUILTY TO ASSAULT BECAUSE STATE LAW REQUIRES THAT HE DOES. HE STILL DENIES DOING ANYTHING OTHER THAN PUSHING HER. STATE LAW SAYS THAT PUSHING IS ASSAULT AND THAT'S THE ONLY REASON HE PLEAD GUILTY TO THE ASSAULT CHARGES. HE ALSO SAID THAT JUANITA CALLED HIM THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS HEARING AND TOLD HIM THAT THIS DID NOT NEED TO GO TO TRIAL . huh? ALL THAT TALK SHE WAS DOING ADN NOT ALL OF A SUDDEN LET'S NOT GO TO TRIAL? WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IF THEY HAD GONE TO TRIAL ALL HER DIRT WOULD HAVE COME TO THE SURFACE AND SHE DIDN'T WANT TO RISK THAT. AFTTER HE FINISHES HIS SENTENCE ALL CHARGES WILL BE EXPONGED FROM HIS RECORD. HE DENIED AGAIN ANY RUMOR THAT THEY ARE RECONCILING OR TRYING TO OR TAKING STEPS IN THAT DIRECTION. WOULD YOU? MY TWO CENTS IS THAT I NEVER BELIEVED HER. SOMETHING IN MY SPIRIT NEVER QUITE WENT ALONG WITH HER. SEE I'VE BEEN THROUGH SEPARATION AND DIVORCE AND THERE ARE THINGS THAT "WE" KNOW THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T BEEN THROUGH IT DON'T KNOW. BUT THE PRINICIPLE IS STILL THE SAME DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION. ALWAYS BEWARE OF THE ONE DOING ALL THE TALKING. GOING FROM PLACE TO PLACE, PERSON TO PERSON, STATION TO STATION DOING ALL THE TALKING. TRYING TO GET THEIR STORY OUT THERE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WHEN THE OTHER PERSON COMES FORWARD PEOPLE'S MINDS ARE ALREADY MADE UP. IT'S CALLED DAMAGE CONTROL. THAT'S ALL THAT WAS. PLAYING THE ROLE OF THE VICTIM. IT DIDN'T WASH WITH ME. I paid attention to the things she said from the beginning when asked if there had been previous abuse. She said yes but it's how she answered that got me. "There's been pushing, shoving". When the answer should have been, "He has pushed me, shoved me". So what does that tell you? The pushing and shoving was being done by HER NOT HIM. Pay attention. I've been in some of her services and I've seen enough of her in the midst of all the teaching and anointing to know something. SHE'S GOT ISSUES. DEEP ISSUES AND SHE'S MEAN. SHE CAN'T EVEN HIDE IT. But people get so caught up in the hype and so called glory that they look right at stuff and don't see it. When the story broke about the assault I said one thing. If he did do it, she pushed him to it. If the conversation started in the restaurant and the beat down happened in the parking lot, what happened in between? He left so how did it happened. She came out behind him and picked a fight the way he said she did the whole time they were married. Hitting him over the head with things, picking up bricks and threatening to hit him with them, jumpin on his car and not letting him drive off. When the second story broke where he explained his plea I understood, because when that first story broke something about it still didn't sit right with me. Now I know. How come nobody has posted the second story explaining the guilty plea? Looking at the court evidence, Weeks had no choice. There were two eye witnesses to the assault in the parking lot. It wasn't pretty. BTW vindicated, its good to see you again after all this time.

Hi vidicated! Good to see you in the house! I do hope you've had a chance to read some of the previous thread(s) here on this matter because we've actually covered a lot of what you're saying. I especially hope you've had a chance to read the last few pages on this particular thread because even as we're watching and praying, we're also trying to do a "new thing" in our discussions of this matter. And this: This is why we need the HOLY GHOST. And it's why we need to pay attention to Him even if He's showing us something about one of our Christian "celebrities". Just wait it out and it will always come to the surface. is a perfect example of our press to come up higher. Now with that said... I do happen to share some of your opinions and most of all I appreciate that you largely expressed them as exactly that...OPINIONS. And, as I said in an earlier post on this thread, I'm a big fan of hearing what people say/said coming out of their own mouths. TW actually addresses some of the issues you're speaking about in his most recent interview. The link to that is posted previously on this thread. He also did so in an "official statement" following his guilty plea. Here it is: "I am glad that this is finally over and healing can begin. I first would like to thank all of those who have stood by me, offering their support during this very difficult time. In regard to my decision to plead guilty, I must state that this was a difficult place to arrive at, understanding the connotation that a guilty plea carries. My preference would have been, no contest. I do now, and have always maintained, that I did not hit my wife. I have however, always admitted that I did push her. The state of Georgia determines that a push, if it causes physical harm, is still considered assault and carries a possible penalty of 3-5 years minimum. I believed that it was in my best interest and to both of our ministries, to avoid a very public trial, that I plea the way that I did. In addition, Juanita reached out to me the night before and asked that I not take this to trial. In respect to the law and her request, here we are today. In response to the reports that we are in the process of reconciling, that is untrue. There is no reconciliation on the horizon. I wish her the best in the future. My details concerning this journey are further clarified in the book What Love Taught Me."And on that note, I"ll ask again: ...if anyone plans to purchase/read Thomas Weeks intended new book release What Love Taught Me? Because, honestly, and for many reasons, I very likely will. Btw, TW has an interview in the April issue of "Sister to Sister" magazine. I was actually hoping JB would beat him to that one, lol! I really do like (publisher) Jamie Foster Brown's unapologetic "'round the way girl" signature style.

Seems his pen is quite the ready writer, huh? I heard somebody say that "The pen is mightier than the sword...but never THE SWORD!"

She should allow the healing to process and get a quick divorce... Weeks had no witnesses except.... he had one staff member that say she have been working with him for 10 years and never seen him angry... That's all I wonder what happen to the witnesses that saw Bynum abusing him? They wasn't listed. Juanita Had the 2 witnesses of the parking lot incident and 2 former staffs that have been attack by Weeks.... 2 medical report of the bruises from two different doctor. Weeks need help, if he keep it up, he going to find himself without a Savior

I have seen the ugliness that can occur when things are left alone and really in the hands of God..the talking has to stop. If it doesn't we will find out some things that we don't want to hear and ever thought about both parties..and what then ??.

I really do like (publisher) Jamie Foster Brown's unapologetic "'round the way girl" signature style. I should have made clear that my comment was actually about my feeling during the time when BOTH of them were on the interview circuit. Because I definitely agree that NEITHER of them needs to do anymore interviews designed or intended to make the other look bad or worse, while largely presenting themselves as faultless. But I think whether or not any more "interviews" are needed depends a lot on what's being said in them. The truth STILL makes us free! If that witness list includes the sister that JB allegedly helped to shut up when TW allegedly abused her....and if those allegations are true...then I think there might be yet another one of those real GOD/good lessons in that for her... and us.

YEP. And the more I listen to TW talk, the more I'm inclined to characterize him exactly that way. But I STILL have room to consider that he might just be seeking VINDICATION

At this point, I think you're right about that!
And as so many of us have come to recognize and begun to discuss, no matter "which" or "both" it is in the case of JB and TW, deciphering that is really not, and really should not be the heart of this matter for the rest of us.

I thought Juanita's movie was out this month. She can do interviews about her new movie.... Her last interview, I think was necessary to explain what she did and why.... None of previous interviews, were designed to hurt Weeks... She tried to focous on domestic violent, but the interviewers try to led her into talking about her marriage... But nothing harmful about Weeks. I need to research the law in Georgia.... I didn't know you can get two felon from pushing The Police said Weeks shoes is a weapon in and they got a eyes witness, the witness and victim testiamony matches.... we have enough to him.... Why can he just simply say I beat and kicked my wife....
