I used those words because it seems like a phenomena is going on with the word Conversate and Mand.... At some point collectively people ought to realize those are not words and you don't sound deep or educated when you utilize them over and over again........

is the issue with people that seek after titles or people who have been appointed to specific ministry offices that represent the call and gift of God on their lives ?? Why do we have an issue if someone is called something ?? particularly if God has appointed them to it... The problem is that we've mandated them. In the Black church, you dare not call your pastor "Bro. So-and-so," yet they do it all the time in White churches.

For one Christ taught against self exaltation even if one is chosen (Christ even upbraided the 12 for desiring the HIGH SEAT). When you are identified in Christ your gift will make room and the Fruit of the Spirit will sustain you. In Divine Love there is no self exaltation especially if the "Spirit of Love" abides you. Remember your life is hid in Christ and we need not be seen. He must increase as we decrease. Also the entire 23 chapter is very plain on the subject.

I can understand an issue if someone is ABUSING their position or authority but I dont truly see an issue if a person doesnt do that.

So when Paul wrote that he was an Apostle called of God what he exalting himself There's a difference between identifying one's calling and making a title out of it (and mandating that others address you by this title). Well, historically the preacher/pastor was the preeminent civic leader in Black America. So the Black community looked upon him as the highest authority figure. That's why we've made titles so important in the Black church. Whites have always had the broad spectrum of authority available to them within all arenas (politics, government, business, etc.), so this is why titles play a much lesser role in predominantly White churches.

I, somehow, knew this was going to develop into a black/white issue... Can't we all just get along???
