I just need to point something out- why are american christians and preachers so concerned about who is praising God for real and who isnt? I obvioulsy i am not speaking in regards to every christian in america but i keep hearing it again and again.....
Since when did we develop the ability to really know what is in the heart of people and why is it our concern?
Even if an unsaved person/someone who is yet to make a real commitment is praising/ the local pimp is worshiping God what business is it of ours? Surely the Lord knows those who are His and it is most certainly His affair............

Beulah, I am not sure of what you're trying to say. Yet, the original intent of this post was to get a further understanding of why so many people tell you they have to get their praise on, yet, the don't praise on any other day except Sunday. Yes, God knows their hearts..yet, there are many tell their co-workers that they love the Lord.."praise the Lord" and their lives say otherwise..and that affects me. For me it's that when I watch Christian television and the crusades are being held in Africa, and etc. there is such a passion to worship the Lord freely which I don't see here in the United States.

Actually Beulah, You are right on it. That is definitely my stance. ANYBODY can praise God.
You don't need the Holy Ghost to do that.

God didn't give us the Holy Ghost to shout, dance, and run anyway. *ducks and takes cover*

It's clear that it does not take to the Holy Ghost to praise the Lord. Anyone can praise the Lord; is true. And I just believe that some things that are being offered up as praise is not acceptable to God. For some people is not even about praising the Lord..it's about getting "happy".

And those people just need to "check themselves" (eventually God will do so anyway - better you stop BEFORE He intervenes). I truly do not have the time to stop and think about someone's motive/heart condition while they are praising. At that time, "I gotta get my own praise on"

If a sinner can praise God, it not a matter of the heart and we don't really know what God will accept or reject. But I understand where you are coming from.... You have seem too many people praised God with all of their strength and worship to they are completely out in the Spirit or spirits.... after church they give the sis or bro a piece of their mind in the parking lot..... I have seen it many time This don't have nothing to do with praise. Praise is simply giving God what is due to Him... All Glory, All Honor and All Praise.... When people begin to praise God in the Holy Spirit..... many thing take place in the spirit realm..... Praise usher in the present of God and the anointing. The anointing begin to destroy the yokes. Some begin to be deliver from the care of the world and oppression. Praise do prepare one heart to worship... Praise lead to repentance. It is hard to thank God without confessing sin and repenting.... It is good that a sinner praise God... they might get saved. Praise create an atmosphere to worship. AT

God didn't give us the Holy Ghost to shout, dance, and run anyway. *ducks and takes cover* LoL, your right he didn't. He gave us His precious Holy Spirit so that we will be endowed with Power to be effective witnesses for Him. I just want to say that when I was a sinner i desired alot of things. I didn't know Jesus as my savior, but I still wanted to be blessed from on high, I wanted to be financially stable ( a good job) , I wanted my family safe, and I wanted to be kept from danger and harm. Now I didn't know the Source of whom all blessings flow, but I did know and understand very much so, that their was a higher presence amongst me, and I believed in miracles. Even back then while in a sinner state.. I praised him, when I thought about the many times I could be dead, homeless, no husband, no children, no job. Now, as a saint, a child of God. I do know that GOD loved me inspite of my sinful condition, and that all along his desire for me was to get to establish a personal relationship with Him, and fulfil the purpose for my life. So I ernestly believe that we do an injust service by thinking that folks other than saints can't praise God. God see's all, and he knows all. He knows who is not sincere. But even in all of that, don't we also believe that GOD will get those individuals to a place where it does become real? Sinners arent hypocrites...so there is nothing about a sinner thats fake. Its the hypocrites that proclaim to Love God, worship God. yet raising cain, and living like all outdoors. God knows that..and when a person in this state comes in shouting, speaking in tongues, etc...GOD will do what he wants to do..because He's Sovereign.

Clarification...Sinners are going to what sinners do !! This post has nothing with sinners or should the those are unsaved and have not made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. This is about professing, born again believers...I am learning that often times it's easier to say " just pray about it" or "God showed you that because he wants you to pray about it". To me that's a passive approach. How, dare we sit back and not confront the subtle attacks of the enemy as he creeps into our churches and our homes using the very thing that he was created to do. Over the last year I have been a church where anything went all in the name of praise; yet, there was no repentance or prayer. If there is no sincerity in those leading praise and worship, the lack of what is not done in the name of Jesus will affect and infect a body of believers.

Actually this post has taken various routes.. in reference to what it is supposed to be about.
Also, you are correct a sinner will do what a sinners do, and that is pricely my point. Sinners aren't hypocrites. If these are "born again Christians" raising cain then GOD who is Sovereign will deal with them how he sees fit. It's easy for Christendom to say, Pray about it,because prayer changes things and people.
Somehow,,,saints have this understanding that if we talk about it amongst ourselves, then thats praying about it. the more talking, the less praying thats going on.
If there is truly no sincerity in what you say is presently taking place..then ask GOD to confirm it. I am sure that our father, will direct you to pray for those who are in this "leadership role".

All I know is...
I was GLAAAAAD when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
That was true for me back when I "thought" God lived in the church house, lol, and it became even more true when... as the journey continued, I found out that He lives in me.
So I say no matter who you are, where you are, or what you know, PLEASE just go on and GET YOUR PRAISE ON! Praise being or becoming something that you "gotta" do is a wonderful thing. God loves it... and you!
HALLELUJAH!!!

Hi, everyone..thanks for the posts..the concerns..the insight, and everything that was brought to this post only in way that you can bring. The purpose of this post was not to say who is or who isn't praising the Lord. Yet, it 's question of how we say " I have to get my praise on !!".. yet, our lives reflect that those sometimes are empty words..to get others to notice how spiritual we are. Yes, we have been guility of that and so have I..yet, during this season fo transition..we all must sure that we have made our "yes"..reflect that no matter what, who says what, or that we have made the choice to stand when it's not cool or one maybe looked as indifferent. Yes, anyone can praise God..yet, in praising the Lord on Sunday morning..may our lives reflect Monday through Saturday..that's it's a lifestyle of honoring our Lord and Saviour with our very being. As for the past few weeks I have witnessed those sitting near me hungering for the word of God; unsaved, unchurched, or just plain unbelieving they are watching. Yes, it's easy to get caught up in the office politics, the gossip, and etc. yet, the question becomes what blessings are you losing out on; because you with your "praising the Lord" self is tearing the person sitting next you or even worse.. you're tearing down the other believers in your work environment.
It's transformation time..may our character be one that will keep us where God is taking us.
