1. I shall return in a few with a reply.
2. There's a difference between Jewish "culture" and Christianity. Just because Jewish culture says that you have to do something doesn't have to mean that that is also true for Christianity.

1Cr 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

I do not think that differences in personal convictions = divisions. We can be perfectly joined and speak the same thing even with differences. This is where principles and practices must be distinguished.
