As far as the pictures and images of Christ are concerned, my biggest beef is that 1) they do not reflect the historical, geographichal truth of the Middle Eastern, Jewish Christ and 2) such images have been used for centuries to psychologically oppress people of color. Just remember yall, the devil is in the details.  |

I am tired of all these sidestepping of issues in case we 'frighten the babes out there' i mean how on earth will they stop being babes unless we start feeding them strong meat? The word of God is the word of God and if the Spirit of Christ truly dwells in you then you can handle all things spiritual. I learnt about demons and warfare the day i got saved it didnt kill me.
Anyway i dont truly believe there is such a thing as a babe in Christ.
Now what is this discussion all about?
We should not be looking at images in the first place-maybe that is where the problem lies.

Okay check it out..... Y Brown continue in the work that Christ has started in ya, don't ever change unless its for the better...  Don't get me wrong now........ It is good to proclaim the truth in all things and uncover the devices of the enemy concerning the saints and even the world, ppl being deceived and all so that they can not "come into the knowledge of the truth" which I feel the devil is fightin after anyway (meaning that's his ultimate goal) I guess I was trying to understand what kind of position does this put the genuine bible believing, God lovin, daily worshipping saint with God. Now are we talkin about actual things that have been considered demonic by God's standards or by our standards according to the origin of the thing? And once again I was wondering this because if I happened to have a pic of Jesus in my house , you know the old ones like Grandma nem be havin in their house along with the big family bible in the house too...LOL If I have one of those pics in my home just because of tradition, does that mean I have been deceived or is being deceived? Because to be deceived means you have been lied to, tricked, and you truly do not know what is going on with you, even with your spirituality in this sense. So if you are decieved what position are you in as a believer? Does that mean the devil is conquering? I mean i'm not coming against the point of view to reveal these "deceptions" that have crept into the body of Christ, but I'm trying to understand the point of view. And we make up the body of Christ, so that means we have truly been deceived. But I must ask in what way?.......  |

Grace and Peace! Like ybrown and many others, I found that God's leading me to study was about so very much more than merely discovering some interesting historical information or insignificant bible trivia. I found the magnitude, strategic effectiveness, and ramifications of this satanic deception to be simply stunning. It is the kind and level of foundational revelation which brings a chilling understanding to God's warning of the high cost ignorance can exact: "My people perish for lack of knowledge." I fully believe that with this knowledge God continues to increasingly expose the satanic deception and irreparably evil foundation of the very institution most revered, supported and perpetuated by those who name the name of Christ. God is so awesome that the very name that the deceivers used ("church") is exactly what He is now using to lead us to Truth. Indeed, the gates of hell shall not prevail against that which Christ declared He would build. The vital question is, "Is "Church" that?" Praise God! I believe that description also both fits and is the very heart and burden of those to whom God has truly given this call and charge.  |

Ummm ......I was sort of lookin for an answer to my questions...lol
This is a very interesting topic, of course, and I am checkin in on it every now and then to see what the "studies" have proved or disproved....I was just trying to get to the core of the reason for the studies, not the reason "to" study, but as far as this topic concerns. So if a person doesn't know that the steeple really represents something else and the stain glassed windows of a church mean another, what position does that put them in concerning the things of God? That's all I was wondering.
Now if I could see (and I am not aware of each and every thing) where it was hindering the body of Christ then I could be able to say that the church is losing the battle on these things that the devil is using to deceive us with. I guess I'm trying to pinpoint the spiritual aspect of it, and how it's hurting the church.
Any examples?

The spirit behind the study is to show that Satan truly is god of this world and how he does decieve the very elect. He is so crafty that he is even in the midst of the very thing that we most revere and believe him to not be a part of. But oh how he is. Most importantly, it's about an awakening that is taking place within the body.
