The parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus is exactly that - a parable and it has nothing to do with what happens in heaven and hell. The teaching that we've been telling regarding hell is false, and again it goes back to some of the early church fathers, as well as translators of the original texts. Thats a bold statement. How would you know?

Studying and reading the original texts as well as the meanings of the original words used in the manuscripts. As well as reading some of the readings from early church fathers regarding certain subjects, including hell, among others. The true heart of the Father is what was canonized in those documents, and that's the only thing I'm interested in. We do have the complete bible, but there are some words that proved to be troublesome during the translation from the Greek and Hebrew. Let me repeat - WE DO HAVE A COMPLETE BIBLE - but what is so telling is that 49 books were canonized (7 X 7 which signifies God's completion and perfection). So what did we do? We decided that God's perfection wasn't enough so we split certain books up and that's why we now have 66 books. Six is the number of man. We've made it our book. It is appropriate because we're preaching our own "stuff" rather than what God ordained, inspired and blessed and intended. There's a lot to all of this...it really is so much better than what we preach. It really is the Good News.

Where exactly do we get the signifying of numbers from? (that may be a different topic)

How would you know? Every parable has truth all through it. I also included OTHER scriptures that show that JESUS ( who is the Word ) and the Word of God ( The Bible ) show hell as a place of everlasting fire and a place of everlasting torment. I love when we vacillate back and forth. On one had we have an erroneous perfect word of God and then on the other hand the translators messed it up. Now I agree you teach and preach JESUS but there is a time and a place for a hellfire and brimstone word as well.

Hey Giants
Dont confuse me with those writings. lol
I believe WHOLLY in preaching a fire and brimstone message, because its focus is still on JESUS and the cross.

What God has inspired and given to be read of all men..is enough to establish that which was intended. A relationship with HIM through His Son.

People need to know the consequences of their bad decisions as well as the blessings of the correct decisions. Jesus had no problem talking about hell and neither should we in the proper context and setting. Thats why when we minister we must be ld by the Spirit of God.

I think that we should (re)define spirit and soul. Also, it would be helpful to (re)examine exactly what "gehinom" is, since it is mentioned specifically regarding a possible destination for souls after death. About (re)surrection, we might want to try and determine exactly what is (re)united in order for (re)surrection to occur... Also, imho, we should do that remembering that the Bible says that when He died, we died, when He went to what we call hell, we went too with Him, and when He rose, we rose with Him and are now sitting in heavenly places with Him.... My two cents Hmm food for thought.........I really like the mentioning of what is reunited in order for the resurrection to occur. Very seldom is it taught how the reconnection occurs... OK Jas, answered it I am playing catch up ;D
