Incubus and Succubus - what do you know about them?

I was asked about incubus and succubus so I want to address it. Let’s start with the definitions. These are taken from http://www.Meriam-Webstercollegiate.com:

Incubus: 1 : an evil spirit that lies on persons in their sleep; especially : one that has sexual intercourse with women while they are sleeping

Succubus: a demon assuming female form to have sexual intercourse with men in their sleep

These are just basic definitions of these two spirits which are primarily spirits of sexual perversion, specifically lust demons. Whenever we are talking about demons, always remember not to put too much merit into the common names that they are called by. Spirits go by many names, even God and satan are identified by numerous names and titles in the Bible.

Whether or not you are being attacked by these spirits is usually pretty obvious. They manifest themselves to your concious mind and cause you to experience all of the stimulation and pysical feelings that take place during intercourse or sexual contact with a physical person.

This class of demon is also responsible for sex dreams: those are dreams during which you are engaged in sexual contact or intercourse, or dreams in which your body has a spontaneous orgasm. They also cause nightmares.

One other much less obvious way that these spirits afflict people is by causing overwhelming sexual urges in the body. You will know that you are being attacked by demons if the sexual urges are so strong that they completely take over your mind. This can happen at any time but tend to be most common when you are lying down. You cannot think about anything else and it seems like nothing you do to make the urges go away works; i.e. a cold shower, involving yourself in another activity, shifting posisitions, etc. The only relief for the urge is to have an orgasm by any means necessary. Sometimes you will have the orgasm spontaneously and they are usually stronger than usual. If you have types of urges THEY ARE NOT NORMAL.

The assignment of these demons is to impregnate you with perversions. If you read in the Bible in Genesis chapter 6 you will read an account of demon spirits that took on human form that they might have sex with the earth women. The women became pregnant and gave birth to abnormal children. Incubus and Succubus are the same class of demon that operated in those, only now they are looking to impregnate you spiritually.

An encounter with an incubus or succubus spirit will ususally leave you feeling drained because they steal virtue from you and in its place impregnate you with perversion and lust. That is why they also cause nightmares. Nightmares too impregnate you with fear therefore perverting your faith.

Once they get you sexually aroused, you let your concious guards and defenses down. What they plant in you, they are then able to plant in your subconcious mind where it will go unnoticed for a long time while doing major damage. It is similar to how a woman who is enjoying intercourse completely gives herself to the man and allows him to plant in her anything that comes out of him. Once his seed is inside, she does not know where it goes or what it does, but it could be actively changing her in major ways.

It may seem fun to be visited by these demons while enjoying the intense sexual pleasure that they give you. They are very skilled at causing you to feel ecstasy. They are very dangerous though and the consequences of an encounter with them can be utterly detrimental.

How to get delivered from an incubus or succubus spirit

If you have not already, please read the post entitled “Incubus and Succubus - what do you know about them?” That post explains what these spirits are, how they operate, and what their purpose is. It is important for you to understand them in order to understand how to be delivered from these spirits.

Just as many of you have stated to me in the past or in your post, I too prayed and fasted for deliverance from these spirits to no avail. That is a very discouraging and frustrating feeling because it gives you almost a sense of hopelessness. “If prayer and fasting and binding and rebuking doesn’t work, then what will?” This is what I used to ask myself about the encounters. The Holy Spirit then led me to do some research on these spirits. “…and with all thy getting, get understanding (Prov 4:7)”. It is important to remember that one of the first keys to deliverance from anything is understanding your enemy! As I prayed and studied, not for deliverance but for understanding of my enemy, that is when I finally was able to receive the revelation of what I must do in order to get total deliverance.

Whether the incubus/succubus spirit is living in you or oppressing you from without is not a major factor in how to go about deliverance. The process is still the same, although it may be a bit more violent and long for someone that has many of these spirits and/or for someone that has them living inside.

Remembering that the purpose of an incubus/succubus spirit is to impregnate you, the main key to deliverance is to abort and/or kill that which they have successfully planted in you. The casting out or sending away of these spirits will do nothing to tear down the strongholds that they have successfully built in your life! Therefore, after casting out/binding/rebuking/renouncing/sending away the spirits — do the same to all their offspring and seeds.

Incubus/Succubus wants to impregnate you with fear which will pervert your faith. They want to impregnate you with lust which will cause you to desire evil things to satisfy and fulfill your soul. They want to impregnate you with different spirits of perversion, especially those of a sexual nature. And they want to impregnate you with spirits of witchcraft which will cause you to be interested in and/or act out: rebellion, divination, sorcery, etc…

1) You must renounce not only the incubus and succubus spirits that have entered into your life, but you must renounce their works. You need to verbally destroy and renounce and murder everything that they have conceived within you and caused you to give birth to. If you fail to do this they will always have access to you.

2) Depending on your level of bondage and what you are involved in sexually, this may take some time and effort, but while you are in the process of deliverance from all spirits of sexual perversion, if you do have an encounter with an incubus/succubus spirit - IMMEDIATELY ABORT WHAT THEY HAVE PLANTED YOU. Think of it as taking a “morning after pill”. (You will need to get a copy of my book, The Spirits of Sexual Perversion Handbook in order to learn how to get delivered from sexual sin.)

3) Now that you understand how incubus/succubus attacks (from reading the first post), don’t let the attack carry on without challenging the spirits! When an attack begins, say verbally and out loud something like, “I know what you are and what you are here for and I renounce you in Jesus name! My body does not belong to you it is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I command you to leave me right now in Jesus name! I do not receive your seed into me and will not give birth to your offspring of evil!” As long as you don’t have any obvious open doors in your life, this will usually immediately subside any assault that takes place while you are awake. This includes those incredibly overwhelming sexual urges that come over you and cause you to have spontaneous orgasms or commit an act of perversion such as masturbation, pornography, or fornication.

*Note: (Don’t expect this to work if you are still willfully watching pornography, horror films, listening to sex filled secular music, watching soap operas, reading horoscopes, etc… Demons don’t like to be challenged they are seeking rest. You offer no challenge to them if you live a willfully carnal and sinful lifestyle — you become a place of rest for them!)

6) For those attacks that occur while you are sleeping, renounce these spirits before you lay down and purpose in your subconcious mind to wake up if you start to have a sex dream or nightmare. When you wake up, IMMEDIATELY ABORT ANYTHING THAT THEY MAY HAVE PLANTED IN YOU! This is so imortant. You cannot let thier seeds grow in you. KILL THE SEED! And DO NOT repeat what you have dreamed about to anyone or rehearse the dream in your mind, unless you are in a counseling situation!!! Speaking it out gives birth to it. Cast down the very thought of it from your concious and subconcious mind. This is so important (and remember this applies to nightmares too).

7) It is very, very important that you concecrate yourself!!! Every spirit must be cast out of your life and every door closed as much as you are capable of doing. That means that you do not willfully involve yourself in anything at all that is sinful or ungodly. When you do fall or make a mistake you must repent and get up quickly. Not that you will be perfect — no one is — but every sinful and carnal area of your life must be challenged to the max! This is especially true when you are in the midst of a deliverance process. That means that you should fast and pray, but also that you need to omit every evil influence from your life — people, places, things, habits and especially the MEDIA.

8 ) Lastly, please remember this: incubus/succubus are lust demons. Lust is a force that is ever present in the earth realm and therefore is not something that you can say, “I will never face this again.” (I explain about this in great detail in my book.) Everyone is subject to the temptations and pressures of lust because it is the passion of satan’s heart and he is the prince of the world: Not everyone will fall victim, but everyone is subject! Anytime that you are spiritually weak it is possible (not likely, but yes it is possible) for you to have an encounter with incubus/succubus. If this does happen once you are delivered, just remember to implement the steps above and watch your level of concecration always. You especially want to be mindful of the media that you expose yourself to, the people that you are around and any subtle forms of witchcraft that may be in your life (like horoscopes or manipulation).

I'm more prone to attribute this to works of the flesh than to a spirit.

And what's up with all of this "abort what they implanted within you" stuff? How in the world can a demon have sex with a human? Last time I checked, it's pretty hard to have sex if you don't have genitals, which generally requires a human body. But what do I know, I'm only a masters candidate in biology.

Some folks are just plain freaks and need the Holy Ghost to arrest their freakiness. Y'all talk back to me in here.

Lol-believe it or not it does happen Krazeeboi especially where i come from. With people dedicating and bethrothing themselves or their daughters to deities who then show up having sex with them particularly in their dreams.

These spirits are marine spirits and are very common in africa just the same way fleecing the saints spirits are the trend in america.

I was reading some of the comments and I thought it was interested, becuase so many Christian in every level, are suffering with masturbates. When I read an Evangelist, a Woman of God, who is married, I thought I should first post the root of the problem and post the teaching on this subject. I remember this topic was on Juanita Bynum old web-site BB... there were some crying out for help.

Krazeeboi, incubus and succubus are lust demons... I think you can identified with lust demon than with incubus/succubus. Many Christians and non Christians are attack by these demon. These demons produce evil spirit that causes a person to have an high urge for sex. What so many Christian do, they masturbates to avoid fornication with another person. These spirits will bring evil thoughts to your mind, make it hard for you to meditate on God Word's and hinder your walk and relationship with God. As a minister you must be award of these demon and how they work. It not just happening in Africa... it is happening right here in the USA.

I feel ya Sis.....as i was reading the initial post the first thing that came to my mind is that some of this is biological and not demonic....Example a 14 year old boy will experience dreams and more than likely a 14 year old girl wouldn't.......at the same time a 30 sumthin year old woman will have urges (trust me ) that a 30 year old man wouldn't.......and an 18 - 21 year old man have urges that a female the same age wouldn't...........

Y'all missing the point. I believe that drugs are a work of the flesh however that does not negate the fact that there are spirits of addiction-and i do not see those mentioned in the bible. No one is negating personal responsibility ot trying to attune everything to a demon however that does not mean that demons of a certain aspect do not exist.


Marine spirits do exist and are as familiar in my culture as perhaps spirits of crack are familiar in american culture.

The Case of the Self-Confessed Christian and Priestess of the Water Goddess

Stella Kalu is a Nigerian woman in her early 50s. She is married with several children. She is, on the surface, a typical Nigerian woman -- enterprising, hard working and a substantial contributor to her family's support with her restaurant business in Enugu, south eastern Nigeria. Beyond these very ordinary roles as a wife, mother and business woman, Stella Kalu leads a second life that is anything but ordinary.

You see, Stella is, by her own admission, a member of the "White Star Mermaid cult." Members of this cult are worshippers of the water spirit that, according to devotees, appears in the form of a white mermaid out of the water. Belief in the mermaid is common among the riverine people of Nigeria living in and around the Niger delta and along the Atlantic coast. The White Star Mermaid cult is called "Owu Mmiri" in local parlance.

Stella's grandfather was a native doctor and a priest of the local deity. She recalls that as a three year old child she would follow him to the shrine where she would ask for her grandfather's ofo -- divination staff -- so that she could use it to consult the oracle like the old man often did; but her dotting grandfather would gently turn young Stella down, telling her that it was not yet her time.

Mrs. Kalu's time came many years later when she was already married and carrying on a thriving restaurant business in Enugu. She was, at this time, a full member of the Sabbath Church -- a Christian congregation. It was at this time that she started having dreams in which the correct roots and herbs -- the basic ingredients of the healer's art -- for different cures were revealed to her. She now says that those dreams were her call to take up her grandfather's calling. Not realizing their significance at the time, Stella ignored the call of the dreams until her children started dying and she had problems conceiving another child.

She took her problems to her church and there the pastors told her that her "problem was caused by a marine spirit." She had lost one son, and a second one was sick to the point of death. The sick child would not respond to medical treatment. A European doctor at the local hospital finally suggested that the boy's ailment could be spiritual and that the family should try with the native healers.

Eager to try anything to save her son, Stella went to see a native doctor on the recommendation of her landlord. While watching as the native doctor applied her cures to the sick boy, Stella went into a fit and fainted. Upon being revived, the native doctor confirmed the revelation from her church by informing Stella that she was possessed by the marine spirit. The native doctor also told Stella that she must not try to have another child until she had completed her initiation as a native doctor and Owu Mmiri practitioner. Four months later, however, Stella was pregnant for another child. But eight months into that pregnancy she became ill. She "had a swollen body" and was unable to get rid of bodily wastes or take in any food. She began to hallucinate and recalled seeing stars and singing children everywhere in her sick room. When told by the apparitions of singing children that it was time for her to die, she rejected that, but when they brought her a golden coffin she accepted and lay in the coffin.

During this same period of illness and hallucinations, Stella's restaurant business suffered. Her food stores and cooked food were mysteriously going sour, she said. Things went so badly that the business went bankrupt.

The same native doctor who took care of her ailing child conducted Stella's initiation into the Owu Mmiri cult. Two weeks after that initiation, Stella gave birth to a son whom she named Odoemenam (the name is a plea that no more calamities should come upon her).

Stella is now a full-fledged native doctor and member of the Owu Mmiri cult.

"I belong to the White Star Mermaid cult," she said. She is the secretary of the group. She says that before doing any work like healing "you must consult the spirit."

It is obvious that Stella Kalu feels it to be her destiny to become a practitioner of the native healing art. She believes that she was born with the skills of a healer.

"Native medicine is natural, it is not learned. It is like a gift. If you are gifted in the use of roots and herbs to cure sickness, you will see it in your dream... I inherited it from my grandfather. It runs in the family."

Beginning from the events of the time when she was a child and tagged along with her grandfather to his shrine and up to the time of her troubles in adulthood, Stella interprets these events as meaning that she was destined to follow in her grandfather's foot-steps as a native doctor. She remains committed to the concomitant beliefs in these practices.

Even as a child, she says, she always had dreams where such roots and herbs as could be used in curative medicine were revealed to her. She distinguishes between natural healers, like herself, and other native doctors who don't have the natural gift, but gained their skills by studying what the natural healers did. This second group, she says, are the ones who are easily tempted into the practice of evil -- doing harm to people.

Mrs. Kalu says her specialty as a healer is helping women and men having difficulty producing children. She also says she can help improve people's luck in life and help those disturbed by spirits to come to terms with themselves and/or get rid of the disturbing spirits.

A lot of people are surprised that Stella is also drawn to God and Christianity. In fact, she believes that the work she does is for God and she considers herself a Christian.

"I believe in God almighty, I believe in Jesus Christ," Stella says.

She says that she always calls on God almighty before administering treatment to her patients. Stella reads the bible and prays to God with her family. Even now that she is fully initiated into the Owu Mmiri cult, she still goes to church. But, according to Stella, "Christians segregate a lot." Apparently, other church members are wary of associating with a self-confessed witch doctor and this has forced Stella to stay away from church even though she would dearly love to continue going to church. Now she must make do by giving eager welcome to evangelists who knock on her door to share the word of God with her.



Stella Kalu personifies a largely unresolved conflict that many Africans have struggled with since the coming of Christianity and Islam into sub-Saharan Africa. Most African Christians and Muslims have made the choice to remain resolutely within the accepted practices and doctrines of their chosen faith. But there remains a good number who are nominally Christians and Muslims, for whom the lure of traditional beliefs and practices remains strong. These are the people who, when worldly troubles strike, may revert to consulting local witchdoctors and Sherman for help.

Such people are especially attracted to "prosperity" Pentecostal-type preachers and churches that believe and preach that individual church members will gain worldly riches as a result of devotional practices such as tithing and making large donations, financial or material, to the church. The same individual who makes such large donations to church can turn around to pay large sums to the native doctor for divination or concoction for the same purpose.

A large part of the problem is the attitude of religious leaders in Africa. A vast majority of these leaders embrace their faiths without reflection. As Christians, for instance, we are told that part of the attributes of a good Christian is complete obedience and trust in God. For many Christians, the only practical way of showing this trust and obedience is by unquestioning acceptance of church doctrine and liturgical pronouncements. As Christians and Muslims most Africans lead unexamined faith lives and they exhort followers in the same direction. They propagate received doctrines and ideals of faith without real examination of such. They are largely dissuaded from leading their lives of faith in vigorous self-examination by the emotional and social obstacles to such examination.

Until our religious leaders properly examine received doctrines and develop their own strong doctrinal basis for religious beliefs which supports our cultural and national development, the dilemma of people like Stella Kalu will continue to affect more and more Africans.
