Jessica..go to your local Department of Social Services on tomorrow. I don't care if you have to nap until they call your name. Get on a housing program list..it's been some years..and things may have changed. But, I remember going to another town and signing up for a sectioni 707 and section 8 and it wasn't that long before a slot on the section 707 program opened. Apply for any services that they offer you..and start there. And please make your need known to your Pastors and any other leaders. You never know someone may have a place for you to stay or knows someone who does. I know you tried this before and it didn't wrong..hey, this is a season for many things to change...to be made new..renewed..as you're being made new as well..

getting ready to check in a homeless shelter either today or tomarrow can no longer afford staying in a hotel....so you all just please keep me lifted up in prayer.......I know this too shall pass......

Im still praying for some Shalom in my life I sure need it right now....I might be going to a homeless shelter thursday or Friday of this week my Little sister is going to go with me...its actually kind of like a baddered wemons shelter my sister stayed there before and she said it was nice...I hope so cause im real nervouse about it...I need much prayer....hopefully I can save some money do I can get a apartment..

Jessica, you are in my prayers... I just wanted to tell you - and it's not saying "me too, me too" - that many of us have experienced drastic changes at some point in our lives. It might not be the kind of things the most talked about, but many have had to stand in line when there was food distribution, and depended on the Lord providing through many means, one day at a time... But he did, and through it all, he is the one who always gets the glory. Whether we are low or high, or at least that's our perception of it, God is always there, always.
Wherever you are, never forget who you are, and most of all, whose you are, and be the light in any place that you find yourself in. God IS faithful, and he IS good, all the time. You just watch!

Love jess You will be able to save money, because right now most of your money is going toward the hotel and eating out.... If it is a nice place, and they serve meal.... that two burden released... room and board... you should be able to get an apartment within two to three months.. Take it as a blessing and not a curse... as long as you are in a safe clean place. They may ask for a small fee, because you are working... but you still should be able to save. I will continue to pray.. Everything will come together.... |

Have you used any of the resources that we have given you? Have you made any phone calls? Is there a reason why you cannot get an apartment someplease cheap?
As AT stated, this may surely be a blessing. Your perception is key and is closely related to your faith. For if you have faith in God, it will change the way that you look at the situation.

Jessica,
You struggle so much because you waiver in your faith a lot. Your geographical location is not really a part of it. You have a job so you are really doing better than most others in your situation. Some people don't even have a shelter that they can get into and therefore they are living in alleys, under bridges and in cars etc., wondering where their next meal is coming from.
The good thing about not knowing how to get somewhere is that you can call the place and they can give you directions. You may not have a car, but there are cabs and/or busses. Also, if you would talk to someone in your church, I am sure there is someone who may be willing to give you a ride.
I moved into my own apartment last month. Remember, I also didn't really have a place to stay. But I had to sacrifice in order to get where I am. I had to ask for rides, take cabs, busses etc. I had to stay in hotels - had to eat oodles of noodles when I didn't have anything else to eat. I've had to sacrifice a lot of money, sleep and time because I knew that I was not going to get up out of my rut by not trying.
I know you work off hours, but sis you are going to need to sacrifice sleep in order to better your situation. Make the phone calls, fill out the applications. Again, you have a job so I am sure that there is some place that you can stay - it may not be where YOU would want to stay but I am sure there is someone out there who will accept the application.
Ask God to show you that open door.
