When I first came to Miami, I didn't know anything and there are so many ppl here that don't speak english... I got around without a computer and I couldn't using the phone because I am hearing impaired, I can't even hear a phone ring... Right now my computer let me know when the phone ring and I have my phone hooked up to two lamps, one in the bedroom and the other in the living... When I first came to Miami, I found out what bus will take me downtown to Government Center... I collected all the bus schedules and a map and I got around... even some places in Broward County... I am in Dade County... I know you can do it.
Don't get discourage when thing don't open up right away... If you make too much money for public housing, or if you have been evicted... Look for apartment that is for low income, but not extreme low like section 8.... They are building new affortabe apartments all over this country... For example a two apartment Miami may be $900 to 1100 a month... an affordable apartment will be $725/month the government pay portion of the rent... There may be someone in your church that aslo need a place to stay... If two single with no children get a two bedroom apatment together will save you a lot of money and it will be safe for you and keep the both of you away from temptation.... PRAY and ASK GOD TO ORDER YOUR STEP....
Below is public transportation information click on the url and schedule to find out what bus to take and time... try to get to places right after you get off from work, than go and get your sleep.... or make phone calls early in the morning.... The bus fare are really reasonable... here in Miami express bus is 1.85 regular 1.50 .50 for transfers... it is not a big sacrifice.... also call the number below near the bottom...
