To be a leader, teacher, provider, sustainer, and covering for his wife and family--and to do all of this in LOVE.

Well, Jesus said the best we could hope for in this life would be to be called an unworthy servant. I haven't asked Him yet whether or no I can call myself 'most holy servant' or most reverend servant'. I have a feeling He'll say no..

I agree with what Krazeeboy mentioned: it's a very good start! However, how is every part manifested and implemented in the day to day life of a Christian married couple? It is a process... How does a couple mature together until all is in order?

To be a leader, teacher, provider, sustainer, and covering for his wife and family--and to do all of this in LOVE. Is it okay for the woman to be the provider instead of the man ?

No! the bible says that a man who does not work, does not eat.
We aren't talking about temporary lay off sistuations either. If the woman works, and the man wants to be nanny, or won't work..He don't eat!

I don't see a problem if the woman works outside the home and the man works in the home. Each marriage is different and what may work for one may not work for another. What we do know is that the hubsnads are to love their wives and the wives are to submit to their own husband.
That's like if the woman may have a higher education level and be able to make more money than the man but they both don't want their children in daycare. Is it more right for:
1) The woman to stay home and the man work so many hours to provide that he spends barely no time with the wife or child and still are just trying to make ends meet
2) Both parents work, put their child in daycare anyways although that was not what they wanted to do?
OR
3) The woman works, the man watches the child, etc. and they are able to have a comfortable living.

But is it biblical though Nikkol?
Can a man truly be 'head of his home' if he aint working and putting money on the table?
I think any woman or children will have a hard time honouring and esteeming a permanent 'house husband'.
Being a provider brings authority. God was not just talking out of the air when He said that a man must work.
Women were also designed to be receivers and that includes being looked after by the man.
Fine both can work but a man who wont work and is actually very comfortable lounging at home permanently worries me.
It is better for a man to be out there making less than his wife could be but retaining his dignity rather than have a hydra headed home.
Money gives u a voice-everyone knows that and that applies to the home as well. How can u command any authority when evryone knows that down to the laces on ur shoes it is ur wife who paid?
God forbid
