That woman needs to submit to her husband in every way, point blank. And that man needs to be assertive, yet caring and loving, in his role as husband. Like Kanyon said in the other thread, there wouldn't be any Jezebels if there weren't any Ahabs.

Yeahhhhh I heard her talking about the Atonement offering?  ?? Whats up with that ummmmmm I personal don't feel right about sending money to tele-evangelist and pastors I don't know why but I do feel that you should take care of HOME first( home church) and if the Lord really leads you to sow a seed then by all means do it So you wont miss you blessing Love Jessica |

Now, maybe I'm missing it... but I was just on her site and I didn't see anything about an Atonement Offering. I see something about the Atonement Prayer that she is doing, but I don't see where she is asking for anything financial to undertake this.... |

misskay. that may be because the Jewish holiday "Yom Kippur (aka "The Day of Atonement") actually began at sundown on September 21, 2007. In any case this:  was most definitely on her site at least until September 22, which is the last time I was there. Maybe all the "offerings" had to be in by then "to count".  Now, as many of you know, I am a long-time and serious student of and advocate for our better connecting "the roots" of Judaism with "the wings" of Christianity. But, imho, this mess ranks right up there with "$7 prophetic soap, white horse drawn ark of the covenant carts, golden walled threshing floors, etc. etc. etc. I gave this one 2 because it so very wrongly combines and then successfully offends BOTH Jewish AND Christian teachings in one calculated $$$$ move." This woman needs to be having some "atonement prayer", for real. |

With the JB/TW EXPLOSION, I betcha Paula and Randy ain't mad at all at the timing of their own announcement of divorce,  And I will say this. I don't know how "scriptural" Paula and Randy's divorce is, but the style of their parting certainly does provide an interesting contrast to JB/TW. But then the "style" of our mess has never meant a whole lot to GOD, fooled HIM...or folks like me. Apart from the public spousal violence, (and yes that's a BIG difference), I believe the issues and implosion of the 2 couples are very similar: Out of order marriages, with a lot of not so quiet suggestions of adultery, and continued fleecing GOD's people for $. A "hot mess" (JB/TW)or a "finessed mess" (P&R) is still mess. |

Once again, our infatuation with OT symbolism gets perverted and the result is misinterpretation and misapplication of that which should truly be a blessing to us.
I'm gone to get an Ultimate Cheeseburger from Jack In The Box--yes, at 3am EST (that was kinda random now, wasn't it? LOL!).
