and some used it to put there personal views on display and some just wanted to talk about what is and what has been going on in the church FOR YEARS and has always been swept under the carpet and not discussed...
why do we accept men with effeminate ways and women with masuline ways in the church???

I wouldn't say that we accept that maybe some but not all. Your right some did use it as opportunity to discuss a particular issue. As I stated before nothing wrong with having a discussion. What i was disheartened by was the fact that so many people had the need to say well I heard this or I heard that in the past.
But let me ask this.....What if it were you or your family member that was the topic of discussion. how would you feel? I don't think any of us would feel to good about it especially if it were not truth.
I normally read this board and don't say anything too often but ATT is right i have witnessed times when those who were discussing tookit as opportunity to tear others down who may have defended. So all i ask is that we all examine ourselves and be truthful with oneself and look at what our motives were. People just make sure your intentions are pure. thats all i'm saying.

Kay I am glad you asked that question.........
In reference to Grace posts and accountability: We need to hold the Leaders of the people of God accountable on all accounts.
If a man acts like a woman, whether he is gay or not he needs to be pulled to the Carpet and told that REAL men don't act like that.......point blank and vice versa
If a woman of God acts like a "hoochie" than she needs to be pulled aside and told that WOMEN of God don't look like "hoochies" don't dress like "hoochies" and don't talk like "hoochies"..... We are WOMEN created from the Father himself and ain't called us to be no Hood Rats.....
Just like these effeminiate men need to quit adding these extra "ssss" to their words.

well living thats like saying the preachers need to stop adding d's on the end of words.....LOL
The mand of God.
Yes hold a person accountable for their actions but if you don't know the action is how can you hold them in contempt based on he said she said?
Once again I say if the person is acting inappropriately then sit them down. That is not limited to the homosexual or the hoochie, but that goes for the liar the thief the back biter and so on.
So glad I don't have a church cuz wouldn't nobody be operating in ministry. The whole church would be sitting.
But I see many things as a minister of the gospel. iI have seen how we let those who sleep around go and say nothing but are quick to condemn the homosexual.
Bottom line sin is sin its all wrong we do we as humans try to compartmentalize sin and giv eit degrees?
Hell is gonna have all kinds, I don't think they gonna have a section based on the sin either.

To all the people out there who have heard the rumors let me ask a question?
Have you all ever heard of a rumor where a man or woman of God was holy and people went in an uproar over saying Girl I heard long time ago He was Holy? or Yeah my brother who is Holy told me he was Holy too?
Holiness is a lifestyle and it must represent in our everyday life............ I just don't believe that a Holy man would have rumors circulating like this and people so quick to believe it, there is some relevance to the truth here. Whether it is by actions, speech, walk or something............

Grace when we see people in concert or on platform and something about them is not righ than they need to be called out on it...... Simple, a man can not go on their job any kind of way acting all "girlyfied" than why must one feel that they can come before God's people directing a choir acting like Rupaul and everyone think it's ok.... (I ain't talking bout Hezzy, I'm just talking bout what I'm talking bout) ;D

Your right sit them down I agree if they are acting inappropriately to sit them down.
how many times must I say this. But then I wonder if you saw this in the beginning, why did you let them get up there.
There was a situation where we had someone get up and direct and he acted effeminate, Lets just say he has left the church. My Bishop called a meeting and told him and the Minister of Music that he was not to direct again. As well as he was told that homosexuality would not be tolerated. That individual left and went somewhere where he felt more comfortable.
In my church I can honestly say this is something that is dealt with immediately. They won't even let you be in the choir and you act in appropriately, or dress inappropriately.

I don't know if you are all aware but there is a new term out in the world regarding a man who loves to spend money on his appearance, who indulges in the finer things of life. Who's ways/actions are some what feminine, has tendencies that many would say that he is a homosexual, when he is straight.
However, this term and definition includes that this type of man is on the verge of Homosexuality.
Its called Metrosexual.

Folks refuse to take a stand because people will accuse you of being to judgemental, touching God's anointed and running folks down when in all actuality you are just trying to SAVE someone's life... Which is why today in 2006 we are on the BB discussing a rumor like Hezzy's....... Folks should have been sat down years ago and instructed on how real men/ women of God represent the Lord.. Again, reference to no one just talking bout what I'm talking bout

Pentecostal, Holiness, we all have had effeminate MEN directing choirs and they all haven't been sat down... We have allowed this spirit to run amok in our churches and sometimes with our own children and don't say or do ANYTHING... We, as a body of believers, let it go unchecked and now it's out and taking hold of our young people... when are we going to stop talking and start praying??? I talked to this guy on Saturday at Godiva Chocolates... he was on the phone with someone saying that "she was trying to make him get the Holy Ghost"... it struck me as strange because he had his hand on his hip, glossed lips, VERY effeminate and he told me he was saved... should I have questioned his salvation? is that my place? or should I have just went by what my eyes seen and drew a conclusion based on his appearance and his presentation???

Very Familiar with the term or these men are trying to get in touch with their feminine side.... The term Renaissance Men can be applied as well.
