Again, Amen to the last 2 posters. Though I do not follow Farrakhan or believe in anything he says due to the fact that he does not accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Though the overall "appearance" of his speach may seem true the very fact that he doesn't recognize Jesus for who He really is, is what makes him "anti-Christ". Again, anything done without love as the motivation is just noise. So we can only HEAR those that accept Jesus?? Do you really think he is against Christ?

1Jo 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Christ = "anointed"
1) Christ was the Messiah, the Son of God
2) anointed
Antichrist
the adversary of the Messiah
I cannot "receive" and or "believe" the words of anyone who does not confess Jesus Christ for who He IS.
It depends on who he is saying the Messiah and The Anointed One really is.

AT stated;.... God is not going to use a false prophet to teach His people, He will use a donkey first.
Are you so sure about that statement?
Do you have anything to back that up? Can you prove that statement................. ;D
But before we get into that Farrakhan does not proclaim or even addresses himself as a TEACHER to Christians.
Minister Farrakhan is the LEADER for the NATION of ISLAM, therefore he should not be TEACHING Christians anything................................. Point Blank
However, the questions was posed "Should we as Christians Not HEAR anything that the Minister has to say?"
I think that is where the misunderstanding is, we are trying to put this man in the Category of a Christian Leader when he is not and does not claim to be.
He is a Leader for Islam, just like there are Leaders in Christianity there are leaders in Islam, Sun Young Moon, Buddhism and all these other religions...... And none of these folks who don't proclaim to be Christian leaders should not be held to the same standards and criteria as a Christian leader.
Now back to the question:
Should Christians HEAR anything that Min Farrakhan has to say?

my answer remains the same and I have not put him in the category of a Christian Leader until he is in fact such.

Now back to the question: Should Christians HEAR anything that Min Farrakhan has to say? 1 - Do your actions preach and uphold Christ without you actually preaching Christ? 2 - Does your speech preach and uphold Christ without you actually preaching Christ? 3 - Is your life Christ-centered? If a woman came up to you and told you that she had terminal cancer, would you declare "By his stripes," or "Sister, you gon' die"? You wouldn't tell the sister she's going to die because that's not what Christ would tell her and that's not how our Bible teaches us to apprach sickness. Our lives are about upholding God through Christ and God's Word in the Bible. My point: Regardless of what Farrakhan says, we can be sure of three things: 1 - His actions will preach and uphold Allah (and Islamic principles) without him actually preaching Allah (or Islam). 2 - His speech will preach and uphold Allah (and Islam) without him actually preaching Allah (and Islam)? 3 - His life is Islam-centered? So no matter what Farrakhan says, his actions and speech are not Christ-centered and they don't preach or uphold God through Christ or the Bible. For that reason, anything he says or preaches has to be received as unfiltered and taken through the "Christ" test first, which is the same smell test that we take the ideas, speech and action of unbelievers, through. If it goes against God or His Word, it should be rejected, whether its from Farrakhan, an unbeliever or our own preachers. Period.

The Nation of Islam in the United States is made up of self-proclaimed Muslims. Many of the members, just changed their mind one day and walked away from the Christian Church, and decided to become a Muslim.
Kinda like a fake Fendi purse.
They are not embraced or recognized as Muslims, by true Muslims; born and raised as Muslims in Muslim countries with Muslim beliefs, that they are ready and will to fight and die for.
I doubt if members of the American formed Nation of Islam are willing to die for what they say they believe. If war was to break out against Amercan claimed muslims, threatened with death or change; Farrakhan would possible have no members to lead, and the members would have no leaders. Probably change that name from Nation of Islam to Nation of Not Real Muslims.
My brother-in-law was sent to a Muslin Country to manage an Amercan company. While there he married a women (Muslim). On one of his visits home, with his new Muslim wife, he brought pictures of the rituals performed for his conversion from Christian to Muslim. He musta really wanted to marry that women because those rituals involved everthing short of walking on hot rocks. Anyway, after converting to Muslim they were given the blessings of her family, and allowed to marry.
He also brought home newspapers from that Country. Since there are many Americans who work in these countries, the news paper was written in English. Before I could even read a word in the paper, the pictures alone were shocking. People were stoning one man in the middle of the road. He was suspected of belonging to a (hidden) Christian group. He was stoned to death. My brother-in-law explained that the wars between Christians and Muslims were common.
Of course this lead to my asking why and mentioning the Name of Jesus. At this point my new sister-in-law, who had not said a word, became enraged. She began to shout jesus was a prophet; stupid, stupid, stupid, jesus was a prophet.....her english was very broken so I'm not sure of all she was saying, but I do know she was getting mad. She was sitting of the edge of the sofa, pounding her fist on the arms of my sofa. It was obvious she was prepared for war, and I didn't want no war in my house. I quickly changed the subject. Not before saying "I glad you told me, cause I was going to invite ya'll to go to church with us on Sunday.
The difference in her passionate reactions and my brother-in-law's (who was born and raised Christian) are: he was ready and willing to debate the the topic: Jesus - A prophet or the Son of God. All I could imagine at this point, was his wife punching me in the face, so I ended that conversation.
When I was a young women, a Christian not attending any Church, my best friend (whose father was a preacher) and I would attend the mosque. We went to check out all those fine brothers wearing those bow-ties. The men set on one side and the women on the other inside of the mosque. If you were not dressed in the Muslim apparel you had were seated in the back. This did present some problems for us and our mission to get close to those fine brothers. So beeing the crafty women that we were, we gave them a wink, a smile, and a number in the parking lot. No doubt there were, are many men and women, attending and maybe joining the American Muslim sect, looking for a hook-up.
You get many of these so called (American) muslims outside that Mosque, those white shirts, black ties, and paten-leather shoes come off - and they just another lost soul. Many don't know much about what Islam or being a Muslim involves. So they just repeat what they are told by their Leader. Following the leader.
We're talking about American Muslims. They don't start or join wars to defend their religious beliefs. Leaders, such as Minister Farrakhan, who are allowed to speak; and do speak against the Name of Jesus, will give account for every word spoken before God.
We don't know the heart of those who have joined the Nation of Islam. God does. Many do believe in Jesus. They just want to belong to something.
Like that fake Fendi purse; if you look close enough you can know it's a fake. The Nation of Islam does not represent or speak for the true Muslims.
If you can break through that false teaching, witness Christ to them in a way that they can receive, these members will do great things for the Kingdom of God.

What Farrakhan said is not true..... The average Christian is living saved.... The average pastor is doing what they call to do.... Yes, there some living in sin and some pastors are out for self gain and mis-directing the sheep, but it is not as many as you think.... God alway reserve a people for himself. Elijah had the same mind-set, thinking he was the only one, God revealed to him, that He have 7000 prophets. If you living saved, there are at least 7000 more just like you. Farrakhan operates in the spirit of the anti-christ, his job is to separates and bring diivision from Christ. We suppose to do both, worship and pick up our cross and follow him. I would not listen to an anti-christ speech, I would not even acknowledge him.... I'm not saying we shouldn't participant in event such as self help, investments, etc. that is informational, Non Christian religious function is a no no. We must guard out heart and aviod anything that is against Christ. It may sound and appear to be truth, but it is not, it is deception..... We all know that even the elected can be deceived. I don't even listen to every preacher come my way more less a known false prophet. I don't want that spirit, don't need to hear what he have to say.... My knowledge, wisdom and understanding comes from God.... God is not going to use a false prophet to teach His people, He will use a donkey first. Brother and sisterhood? In the muslim belief, if they decide convert to a Christian, they suppose to be executed, you know.... beheaded. They love one minute than hate you the next. God Bless AT I know I am gonna get blasted for this but thats never stopped me before. One of the problems with African American Christians is that we need to stop worshipping our " blackness ". Embracing your culture is fine but not when it will cause one to compromise our most important citizenship which is in the Kingdom of God which embraces ALL culture and all culture must be submitted to it. Its this level of compromise while worshipping our "blackness" that has African American pastors, leaders and bishops standing alongside the spirit of Anti Christ while he teaches error, calls himself the messiah, and tries to sell an " atonement " without Jesus. One last thing.. The elect CANNOT be deceived. The Bible says IF it were possible even the very elect would be decieved. That statement means its not possible, DING DING DING DING....BINGO!!!

YBrown I think I understand what you are saying, however the questions were asked should a Christian not HEAR anything that a Non Christian has to say? We are not talking about embracing philosophy or ideas or religiosity for that matter. I mean just simply listening to a speech by Sun Young Moon or Farrakhan will that endanger one's walk of Faith? I don't see the controversy over listening to someone who is not saved, that is not going to jeopardize my walk with Christ. If we never listen to these people, than HOW can one truly know what their stand is.................. Or how would you know how to minister to those who are trying to come out from Buddhism, or sin if you don't know where they are coming from.......... Just like the example YBrown gave of the sick woman, Yes you can proclaim the words of Healing to a Saint who understands the Bible but to a non believer you must first introduce them to Christ and explain who Christ is and that it is because of His blood that was shed is why healing can be proclaimed unto you.

"However, is that enough for a Christian to embrace Islam? I don't believe that. I think that it is possible to agree with what Mr Farrakhan says, in all objectivity, because it is true, yet to show discernment and not cross that line and accept him as our spiritual leader. I totally agree, sister. I am not fooled by Minister Louis Farrakhan. I have always lived less than 5 minutes from the Chicago mosque. (have never attended) Three African families on my block are Muslims and they go there and elsewhere. I live less than 15 minutes from his home, where armed guards are always stationed when he is at home. He has a message. No, his message is not for everybody. When some of us who preach, that message is not received by everybody. My son who was not raised in the church has studied both the Bible and the Koran. At the present time, he is a Muslim. He will one day preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been prophesied many times. He preaches now on the streets. He knows that Jesus is more than a prophet. He embraces most religions. He is open to learning what they are about. This is something seminary schools teach also. There are people that are of the Inter-denominational faith and are open to all religions. I just believe that because of who God is raising my son up to minister to, and the ministry he is preparing him for; that this is a prerequisite for him. God uses everything we do, even the mistakes. It is important with bring in all people with loving kindness. You must be able to do it with the love of God and not the Pharisaic spirit. When my son tries to talk to me about the Muslim faith, both Western and Middle Eastern, I listen. As I listen to him, he listens to me. At the same time, I give him the truth of God's Word and the unadulterated gospel. No compromising. Truth. It's been said here already about the need for love. I Peter 4:8 says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins".Peace and Love to All
